***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

So I've tried to keep up, but reading a couple hundred posts per day is exhausting.

Is there any update to potential Verizon exclusivity? Or are we still waiting for more details? I'm hoping for NO exclusivity, as I'm on Sprint. Just wondering the latest rumor. Thanks.

As mentioned, everything is just rumor-mill. However, all indications are that this phone will NOT be coming to Sprint.

I don't think its debatable that there are two versions of the phone.
There is a CDMA/LTE version going to Verizon.
There is a GSM/HSPA+ version that would be compatible with ATT/Tmobile/Global

There has never been mention of a CDMA/WiMax version, so Sprint is going to be left out. I'd say 99.9% certainty.

+ i want the GSM-world-version to be 4G LTE-capable... this documents says HSPA+ only... :(
+ steven said the processor would be clocked at 1.5GHz, not 1.2

I don't think you are going to see a GSM/LTE device for a while. I honestly don't know if there are any shipping currently, but at least for the US, the only impetus will be when AT&T finally gets off it's arse and rolls LTE out quicker.

nov 10th for the prime?
cant post a link in first post.. sec

No need, we saw the MAP list.
I know we already talked about it, but I wouldn't put my faith in that list, simply because I seriously doubt Verizon would release two directly competing 4G phones (Nexus and Rezound/Vigor) on the same day. It's bad business.
Not to mention such things are easy to fake.

Here's the link, just in case anyone hasn't seen it yet

Good business is making your customers happy IMO. Haven't seen much of that from Big Red lately.

Not good. I use my phone for business calls.

I'll agree, the Samsung Galaxy S phones were not great. Poor radio performance, average call quality, beyond bad aweful GPS performance, etc.

However, you should be looking at reviews for the SGSII, rather than the SGS. All indications are that it is a decent performer that has fixed many of the issues that plagued the SGS line.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't those just the BGR specs (which were pretty incorrect, as I remember)?

Looks like it, with some extra conjecture. So basically nothing new. We'll all have to wait a few more days for the announcement.

I think we have gone over this before, but as I understand it, the update in this link is the "accepted" rumored specs for now.

Good business is making money, both for near term and long term viability. Sorry, but can't sugercoat it or get any plainer than that.

Verizon would make many customers happy by giving everyone free smartphones and service. They'd also be out of business.

And awful at poems. Probably why they haven't gotten more followers. Who wants to listen to the English language get as mangled as when those two do it?

In case you missed it. This video is hilarious. They poke fun at the poems and all the people involved. Android Forums gets a nice shout out too.

Enjoy

Well, I am generally more of an email/texter, but I do use my cell as my primary home phone and for work as well. I'm really hoping the NP is at least as good SGS2 which I've heard is great.
