Agreed. And don't forget the mods who have to ride shotgun on the roller coaster so we're sure that all the arms and legs stay inside!

:D:D

Minor update: the SGN does NOT use Gorilla glass. They opted for another type of "fortified" glass.

Does the Galaxy... | Facebook

Yeah, I heard it was something to do with the curve of the glass and Corning not being able to make a Gorilla glass that would hold its structural integrity on a curve. I was hoping they'd go with DragonTrail glass (supposedly even stronger than Gorilla), but I'm not sure if it's even available yet.

Hey I tried to skim all the posts that I missed today to see if anyone posted this so I'm sorry if this is a re-post. But I do agree with Hans Olo :p that we should email Verizon so they know how important it is that they don't drop the ball on this one.

What is to come of the Galaxy Nexus for Verizon Wireless - Our turn. : Android

It's a non-starter. Apparently some people took issue with "bothering" Verizon about what we want.

i actually think moto does a good job on updates, my DX was updated numerous times from moto/vzw

so i dont see why its a big deal about moto
i believe htc is the fastest, then moto, and sammy is just dead last, IMHO

but also just remember moto has to blur everything up first, and then install the vzw crapware

Actually Sammy updates fairly quickly oversea, close or on par with HTC. It's only US where their updates lag behind others for some reason. But SGS2 seems to get updates at pretty much the same speed regardless of region. So that's good sign.

I hear Verizon is forcing us all to 3 year contracts, a 200mb hard data cap, and will from now on only carry windows mobile devices.

And will reduce their customer base by about 80%.

Sounds like their sales model but I doubt it would drop their customer base by 80% tons would complain but at the end of the day I don't know of another carrier that operates as many places as they do. We have Verizon, Sprint and AT&T where I live. Sprint is always loosing service and doesn't want to expand their network here. AT&T is spotty at best.

I wouldn't bring that up around here.

Social media is one of those completely valid ways that consumers can get their voices heard. Twitter and Facebook are completely ethical ways to get the message across. No one should have a problem with the consumer finally having a unified voice, it's one of the ways we will maintain our rights.

Now suggesting we e-mail folks or get a hold of their other contact information is bad news(not that you were suggesting that).

Why of course not! After all, I'm fully on the 100%-sure-Nexus-is-coming-on-Verizon train, remember? :D

Just a bunch of the stuff we've re-hashed in this thread over and over again. Just because there were test devices working on VZW means nothing. Nexus One por ejemplo.

obviously. but it doesn't hurt to share a link about a related article. anything short of a Verizon official announcement that is heard by every customer, in person, given by the Verizon CEO will be considered non credible evidence.

I went ahead with an e-mail anyhow. Just seems silly to be silent on this if you are a customer and want to phone that google has obviously shown was developed on VZW. As customers we've been asking for nexus for A WHILE atleast indirectly. May as well be direct at this point.

BUT, did notice this looking up e-mails, so I guess it caught on regardless of agreement to not do it.
