Do I qualify for a discount

honda dealers (auto, power equipment, motorcycle, marine, etc) are 18% not 15% ....just pulled that info off of the honda dealer site. Also have a question regarding the discounts when purchasing a phone from somewhere other than the sprint store. I'm contemplating switching over to sprint because of the discounts, but I don't want to have to pay $199 (after rebates) for an Evo 4g which is the online price via the honda dealership website. Can I buy a the phone and/or sign up via Amazon or other retailer and still get the corporate discount ?

Yes, You can. Once you get your phone and account set up (from anywhere... Best Buy, Amazon, etc), Just give Sprint a call and they can apply your corporate discount for you.

Edit: I belive you can apply the discount online through your Sprint account, too. You'll need proof of employment. Company E-mail usually works.

awesome...I've been trying to decide what to do as my US cellular contract has been up and I have 3 options at this point and need to make a decision soon. I'm also partial to HTC for my next phone purchase.

Option1: Stay with us cellular and switch to a new plan with data buying an HTC Desire.

Option2: Add a line to my parents verizon family plan, port my number and pay the difference in the bill with buying an HTC Droid Incredible. (with the issue that the due date will be at a bad time of month and i have to decide in the next few days or they won't go along with it)

Option3: Switch to Sprint and use the 18% corporate discount and leaning towards an Evo for this option.

T-Mobile is too pricey for the packages I'm looking at, and I have a smaller discount on AT&T, but due to an unresolved issue going back to the Cingular days that is not an option.

Tough calls there; you have good options, at least. I can say this, Sprint has been pretty damn good to me over the many years I have been with them. I travel extensivly for work and coverage has been great. The prices and plans are probably the best around. With your discount they will be even better. The EVO is a sweet phone.

Thanks, I changed it on the list.

HD Supply used to be owned by home depot but was sold and now is a separate company owned by a group of investors.
Thanks for clarifying that, its been added to the list.

I got my company discount also. We received some info at work and the number for us to call was 866-444-3131. I didnt have to pay any activation fees, mailed my phones to me, and they gave me free accessories for each phone. Everything was smooth and easy.

Some have asked if they qualify for a corporate discount with Sprint or some do not know that their company offers a discount. Well there are numerous ways to find out.
1-You can go the the Sprint Employer Discount page and enter your work email to see if you do.

2-You can also go to the Sprint Employee Value Program (EVP) page to enter your work email.

3-You can call Sprint at (888) 457-6294, answer a few questions or provide them with your work info.

4-You can browse through the Sprint Employer Discount lists below and go through one of the above links.
A-M

N-Z

Note: Each list is compiled in Google Docs and has numerous tabs.

Disclaimer #1:
Sprint usually checks to see if you indeed work for the company that you are requesting the discount for. Sometimes its worth looking at the lists because you may have other options rather than applying just with your company's' discount. For example:
You work at company X, which is a hospital. Company X gives you 10%, but since you work in the healthcare field, that gives you 17%. But you also are a NY city worker, that gives you 25%. So choose, but choose wisely.

Disclaimer #2:
The Employer Discount lists have been compiled from numerous sources. They may or may not be accurate or up to date. If you encounter or have a company that is not in the list, feel free to contact me so I can add it.

Not sure if this was covered or not, but you do have to renew your contract for the discount to take effect. I just called and applied the aol discount. It will take a month or two to take effect, and I have to renew my contract, he said. But this does not affect your upgrade. You are still eligible for your upgrade at the same date as you were before.

Well...this is the email I got after hanging up with their rep:

I have reviewed your request to participate in the Sprint discount
program through AOL Sprint Affinity Agreement. I am unable to process
your request because your account is currently set up as a business
account, and only individual accounts are eligible.

If you would like to have your account changed, please visit any Sprint
store or contact Customer Care by calling the number on your bill or *2
from your Sprint phone.

There are alot of people who are trying to buy the evo3d and only qualify for the silver upgrade $75 bucks.....for the those people if you lost your upgrade because of the change in premier guidelines and would have qualified on 6/4/11 with the old terms...you need to call sprint and ask for an upgrade override...

Back to the topic...I hope Sprint just announces this thing. I have preordered already but I need to schedule a day off to play with it...lol just like a nerd

can anyone confirm the law enforcement discount list says %25..when i call they keep asking me for a code from my employer saying the highest they have is %15, right now i have the state employee discount of %15. An extra ten percent helps.
thanks

We would've gotten 15% if we had used our Law Enforcement discount. We used a corporate one and got better.

Did you see the list in the first post?

http://androidforums.com/sprint/81670-do-i-qualify-discount.html#post769879

Should be able to find some good ones in there

Yes,I read it thoroughly. I ended up w/the 15% discount & grateful for it.Was just asking in case someone knew of a better discount that might be applicable.
CRICKET has a pay for 3 month's service & get the 4th free (25%) that is available to all accounts & customers.I took advantage of it the moment I became aware that it existed.

It never hurts to ask,as CRICKET does not actively promote or advertise this 25% discount, but,it does exist,& was hoping SPRINT had a similar program to offer.
