No Love for Batman Arkham Asylum?

I played Arkham Asylum on the Xbox last year but never finished it. It was cheap on Steam a while ago (and is again now) and I've just got round to playing it again.

It's ok, but I do remember enjoying it a little more when I played it the first time round. I'll probably get Arkham City when it comes down in price and for the Xbox rather than the PC. Arkham Asaylum is one of those rare games I felt plays better on a console than it does a PC.

The first one was great, and it's been one of the games I've been looking forward to the most. However, money is tight and I absolutely HAVE to get Uncharted 3 when it drops. Considering that happens right after Halloween (and Halloween weekend), I'm gonna be about broke. So the money that could be going to Batman is going to Drake instead.

And right after that, Assassin's Creed: Revelations comes out. So Batman might have to wait for Christmas.

EDIT: Well I lucked out. After hearing me talk about how I wish I was getting this game, my mother went ahead and got it for me. Thought it was cute that my mother randomly bought me a game even though I'm 29. lmao

I'm in the same boat - I bought a graphics card recently and now I have a copy of Arkham City sat there in my Steam games list and I can't download it :p

It's pretty annoying that they announced the delay. I could have got Batman out of the way before Skyrim, but now they release within a week of each other and I definitely don't have time for both.

I think that is what I'm going to do once BF3 comes out

Using a 360 controller versus PC players will probably put you at a disadvantage.

Yeah, the control scheme definitely lends it's self to a controller. But having played AA on both I can't say I felt any significant disadvantage to using keyboard + mouse.

I have never been able to play games like AA on the PC without a controller. I've just always found the keyboard/mouse combo to be way too clunky.

I find all 3rd person games work better with a controller. AA in particular, the Scarecrow sections weren't exactly difficult, I just found them easier on the Xbox.

I'd definitely prefer a controller, but I only have wireless ones and I can't motivate my self to buy another expensive Microsoft accessory.

Same here. The cheapest I can find the wireless adaptor is circa 3x what I paid for the game, so I'm happy battling on with the KB and mouse (it's not as if it's a major issue anyway). If I get more 3rd person games, I'll probably invest at some point.

Does the plug and play kit not play nice w/ PC's?
