***Official Galaxy Nexus Pre-Release speculation thread**

I will say that I am slightly bummed about the release date being pushed back. I need to get on a data package phone in order to keep my unlimited data after switching from my iPhone to a feature phone for the duration of the wait.

My plan is this....switch with my girlfriend so I have her iPhone and she has my phone, and then switch back right after so I get another 14 day period of grace, which should cover me if I time it right until the release of the Nexus.

Or, should I use my upgrade and get the Razr/Bionic and then when the Nexus comes out I will be within my 30 days and can exchange it for the Nexus? Ah! I don't know what to do!

At least I have a son who takes after me... but daughter takes after Mom...

I've got our whole entertainment center down to one universal remote for wife, and DREAD upgrading it because it has taken her years to get into a groove with this one! But mama wants a bigger better TV and with that comes a whole new learning curve. I absolutely dread it. Long days ahead for the Chief next month...

EDIT: We got your back, Steven. I trust you and LT!

Get a good Logitech Harmony universal remote and get the profiles setup well and all the devices it controls tuned to it well and anyone can use it after a couple tries.

I thought it went to 14 days.

My tantrum is over. GMK is correct. You all have the right to debate the source, me and my integrity. Although it was initially hurtful to hear, I can understand it, from your perspective. I guess I am too personally involved in this thread and not detached enough. I guess I should act like the mod/staff member I am supposed to be and try to be more neutral.

I'm backing off. You can discuss, but don't fight. I realized that I was controlling the conversation too much in my favor, because my feelings were hurt as I felt my integrity attacked. That kind control is not impartial but autocratic. I can be autocratic. I'm self-employed and answer to no one, but God, perhaps? ;)

Now, having said that.. I am going to delete any fighting and personal attacks. Additionally, I will warn/infract/ban according to the rules of this place.

Again, my apologies.

Humbly,
Steven

Have you tried Swappa? Get a cheap Android phone and you have it as a standby/spare if necessary. I've bought 2 OG Droids from there and love the service.

Are you saying VZW gives you 14 days as sort of a grace period to get back on a smartphone after you switch off of one to retain unlimited data? I don't know the answer, I always assumed if you switched off you were done. I'd be very careful assuming that you can switch back and forth and keep getting new grace periods though. That seems like you're playing with fire.

You should also remember that the return period is 14 days, not 30.

Yeah I asked about it when I was on the phone with Verizon Customer Service. The period is usually 14 days that you can keep your unlimited data.
