Flame on, Tell me I am crazy but here is what I believe. VZW does make bloat filled devices a priority and they want to maximize Razr and Rezound or Resound (what ever)
sales . If that is the case we may not see the Gnex until after the return window for the other two are up.

To me this means :( I am really getting sick of VZW's high priced contracts and megalomaniac personality.

People have been saying that about waiting to be outside the return window for pages now where have you been?:rolleyes:

That's a great point. And it would explain why there's seemingly no problem with supply and demand in Europe, because you've got multiple carriers on the same type of network (GSM), while in the U.S. you've only got one carrier on one network that is slated to release it. Demand will probably be estimated to be much higher in Europe, and Samsung/Google's efforts in production will reflect that.

It's the LTE chip that is causing the delay.

(Although I don't work for Verizon, I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.)

You're crazy :p

They'd have to significantly space out the releases to make any real dent in that. Plus the number of *real* consumers who would return a phone is going to be pretty insubstantial unless there's a major flaw with the phone. Folks like us might do it, but most people wouldn't.

And folks like us are the ones who will wait until the release of the new phone is less than 14 days away.

He got it off the net. That "rumor" never took off. Can't remember where I read or saw that but it was mentioned somewhere. It was obscure.

He's playing it carefully and smart....

He's well informed but no insider. In my opinion

Yeah, pretty sure P3 or BMX or both mentioned as much last week...so not really a new rumor even if he got it from a more under cover source.

No flaming necessary. The Love Tunnel already said that bloated has more priority.

PS: As a Colorado Rockies season ticket holder, my most-used app is my G-Force baseball score keeping app. Is there a good Android score keeping app out there?

I hear this is the best one out there.

At Bat 2011

I would have used it, but I'm a Cubs fan. I don't need anything to tell me they suck. :(

Thx Han, but I'm looking for an app for actually scoring the game, not looking up scores/watching the game. Yes, I'm one of those geeks at the game keeping score. ;-)

(I know how you Cubs fans feel. Rox aren't exactly tearing it up either)

I'm going to ask an unpopular question here:
How many on this thread want the vanilla/pure/no bloat/rootable experience because you're actually going to do something useful/productive with that ability, vs. just wanting to have that ability but not have it actually affect how you use the phone?

I ask because I've determined in that I fall into the latter camp. Combined with my unhappiness over no SD, the 5Mpx camera (apparently the sensor quality isn't that phenomenal to make up for it, based on the leaked pics I've seen), and the fact that ICS will soon be available for RAZR and REZOUND, I think I'm going to jump ship here.

You're slowly entering Pissed-Off-Steven territory. The Mods already confirmed he's legit, according to him.

Pissed off is not quite what I'm feeling, now. All of the pointed nay-saying and criticism, by CK and some others is making me wonder if I am actually doing our thread and Android Forums, in general, a service.

I re-evaluating giving information from The Source, going forward. This is not based upon the Source's integrity, but upon the group's reaction to changing and breaking information, as it becomes available. I don't believe some, in the group, are handling the changing news of a fluid and changing situation well, at all. I may stop to keep the peace.

On a personal note, our group cries out for more news and when some comes that isn't positive, some call "bs" and call our Source a "liar". Let's just assume The Source is genuine and that the situation was changing, genuinely? If I was him/her I wouldn't bother with us, but I'm not him/her. He/She seems to be very understanding and patient with us. I, on the other hand, am not so much. I'm a moderator here. I have to keep the peace. That's why I'm thinking "t'ain't worth it."

I'm going to chat with Early about this and get back to you. He's always been a big brother/help to me. I have no doubt he'll give me wisdom, here. I'll get back to you.

That's a great question, Droidette. I fall into the latter category as well, except that I really do love the look of ICS. I'm really big on the Tron theme, and the swype-to-kill-apps feature. I haven't ROM'd in a while, and doubt I get back into it.

And the camera seems great, too.

I'd suggest you wait until at least the release of the ReHound before you make up your mind. By then (in about a week or two), I'm sure we'll have a definite, official release date from Verizon.

I will be frank. I want to be able to tether my phone. I only use it when I really, really need it and in two years I'll bet I've not even used 500MB doing so. I'm not going to pay $20 a month to use a tiny bit of bandwidth that I already pay for.

I'm going on the idea that a Vanilla, unlocked phone will be easier to continue to tether with than the RAZR. Don't know about the HTC, tho.

Great points, Steven. It's unfortunate that some people just like to be negative for the sake of stirring the pot and watching others' reactions. If you decide to not publicize the info, I'll understand.

But, might I make a suggestion? How about you PM the Love Tunnel's info to those of us who actually like getting info from the Love Tunnel? Just make a list of people. I know that it seems daunting, but perhaps you might just throw everyone on the list except for those who begin with a random letter like, oh say, "C". :p

While I see where you're coming from, I just want to point out that this is the internet. There'll always be naysayers and a very vocal minority. I know I'm not speaking for myself when I say that most of us really appreciate the work you do and the information the Source provides. Seriously. It doesn't matter that a couple people don't feel the same way.

CK WHAT HAVE YOU DONE NOW

You cannot take what 1 or 2 people say (maybe just out of frustration) and relate it to the HUNDREDS of us who do not feel that way.

Be like a ducks ass and the negative comments are water...Get it? Let
:Dthem roll off

Run the numbers friend. There are far less naysayers than those of thanks. Look at the thanks in your posts.

Well I for one appreciate the info. Not trying to kiss ass, but it sure is nice to get some info rather than seeing speculation all day from everyone on here. Now a lot of us are gathering news from all over the place which may lead to facts and conclusions being drawn, but most of it is guessing and logical deduction. This source is legit and its nice to have concrete information, whether positive or negative to give us some insight as to what is going on with this phone.

The PM's wouldn't really work because those of us who get the messages would just come post them back on the forum and the nay-sayers would continue to do what they do. Its just an extra step towards to same results.

Steven, I hope you continue posting your source's news here. I, among many others, find it to be beneficial.

Steven, when some of us call BS we are doing so out of a duty to present the other side, knowing that not even all *internal* sources have the lastest info or know the real stories. Many, many corporate drones (I speak as one in another industry) know only the cover stories that they are told by their own people.

The group on this thread does a much better job at competitive intelligence than most companies pay people to do.

I am ALWAYS grateful for the information that you are kind enough to pass along. The "shenanigans" comments are not about your source, about you, or about the honest motivations behind the information.

Agreed. I coined the name "LOVE tunnel" because I LOVE the info. But I think it's important to provide some balance, especially when the info we receive isn't great, like this latest one. We believe what the Source tells you is true at the current point in time, but we also have a duty to preserve the optimism wherever possible.

Please don't strike me off your PM list like CK!
