Just wanted to let all of my fellow eris users know that the AIM for android app is awesome. Well it is if you use facebook alot at least. The app will allow you to sync your facebook contacts into your aim account. From there you can then use facebook chat right through the aim app. It seems to work really well. Did a couple of test conversations with some of my friends and it has worked flawlessly so far. It will also load your conversation you were having into facebook when you log on on a computer. I think its pretty cool and just wanted to share. Happy Chatting :) (if your not into chatting or facebook, sorry if you read all of this)

Im not gonna say it does it better becasue i have never used meebo. The only reason why i like this app is because fb and aim actually worked together to make this app work as best as possible. For fb i prefer to use apps that are created by them. Just personal preference on part. I do believe that the fb integration into aim is still in beta so im sure there may some bugs, havent found any yet, but they are probably there.

When you use an im client like aim, meebo, gtalk, or whatever, it is using data to send the messages over the internet so it does not count as a text message. It similar to blackberry messenger, for those of you who have done that.

Don't you get unlimited txt with your Verizon data plan? I know Meebo's messages don't count as txts.

Verizons data plans do not include any text messaging with them. You either have to be on a talk&text plan or add a text messaging bundle to your talk plan.

I use eBuddy which is similar to meebo. if you have msn, icq, aim, facebook, yahoo, gmail then I recommend using ebuddy or meebo.

If you have only aim and facebook. then i guess this is the app.

I agree, and have tired ALL of these apps.

eBuddy is the best, by far, and most useful and stable.

I recommend the use of a Task Killer to kill it when you're not using it though. it sits and hogs resources, completely unreasonably, until Android randomly kills it later on.
