Well i didnt want to do it, but my screen on my x had two big black patches. I didnt want to get a refurb so i walked into verizon store and bought a bionic. The phone is great, its fast, responsive, and i like the feel of it in my hand. The image is clear, but you can see the checker effect from th pentile screen. Its not noticeable unless you really try to look for it. So far im happy.

I would have waited for the Razr.

When I first got into the android scene i was all about messing with the roms and what not but now I just want a phone that is fast and does what I need it to for my work and some browsing. And to be honest its perfect for me. Yes there are better phones coming out but then again there's one out every 5 months. Would I of liked to of waited for the nexus yes. Even though they could try a little harder and making these phones more up to par, this phone is great.

I'm starting to feel the same way, either that or i just need to find a good rom and stick with it.

I am also buying a Bionic in the near future...

I'm going to be doing the same thing. The mic on my X died - I have to talk to everyone on speakerphone or they can't hear me.

Rather than spend $100 for a refurb'ed X from Ass-urion, I can spend $229 @ Costco for a Bionic and get a home dock, car dock, extra battery with charging dock, and a car charger included.
Im sorry but you lost me after the first few sentences.....

I used the Droid X ... it is a great device.

I got the Bionic the day it was released ... I saw it as "the future" and it supported 4G LTE where my Droid X did not.

I have had no real problems with the Bionic. The network has been a little unstable. I think it is due to the upgrade.

There was a great furor when the Razr came out by many people.

The day the Razr was released I checked it out. I don't like how it looks or feels. It has no changable battery.

My conclusion is the Bionic and Razr are the future and there is room for both. Pick the one you like.

It's real simple, if I was on a call - the other party could not hear me talk unless I put them on handsfree/speakerphone mode.

Just got home from getting my new Droid Bionic @ Costco.

Today was the last day of their special deal where you get the free car dock, home dock, extra battery with charger, and car charger.

The wife had an OG Droid and completely broke the USB/charge port on it so she had to upgrade. I decided to pull the trigger as well.
