Root kernel miui

You might want to use your recovery to flash roms. Rom manager has been known to cause issues, and doesn't help you out if you get into a boot loop.

I'd try a tiamat kernel (i'm using 4.0.6 SBC on CM7 and it's great).

@sticky - can you describe your nandroid issue? What recovery are you using?

I re-read my recovery.log file and turns out i didn't have enough memory on my sd card. (500mb required)

Deleted some zips and I'm good to go. Sorry for blaming you, MIUI!

i would also keep only 1 or 2 nandroid backups on your card. they also take up a lot of room. just keep any other nandroid backups on your computer or somewhere safe.

One really should learn how to do recovery with out third party programs. It could save you all kinds of issues later.

Personally I think Tiamat is the best choice for an AOSP ROM.

+1 on familiarizing yourself to navigate comfortably through recovery w/o third party apps. You can't always rely on those apps to work properly and you should want to learn as much possible about your Evo anyways in case anything breaks on you.
