you know those little tick marks indicating an event on the days of the calendar when you look at it in monthly view? Anybody know a way to change the colors of those? I'd like to be able to glance at the big calendar and be able to quickly differentiate between a bill payment reminder and an actual event. Thanks.

This is done by having multiple calendars ... each one can be a different color. I have 4; My kids events (Green), My events (Red), My wife's events (Blue), and out business events (Brown). When I create an event, I have to specify which calendar I am making it for, it that gives it the correct color. It also works well if you want to share one of the calendars. For instance, my parents and my wife's parents have a web link to out kids calendar. They can view when my son has hockey or when my daughter has dance, as well as any school functions we throw on it ... but they cannot see the event on my other calendars. Our clients can see the events on our business calendar, but none of the three personal calendars.

That feature is one of the main reasons I wanted and Android phone when they first came out. I love being able to see events and knowing what calendar they came from instantly.

To answer the original question though, in the main full month calendar view the little gray/green tick mark in the upper right corner can not be changed. The only quick/simple way that I have found to view events is to just hit the Agenda button on the bottom left.

I was having the same problem so I created a new calendar on google calendar, and I then successfully entered an event under the new calendar on Google Calendar.com and it shows a different color, but when I go to my Droid that event is not there. How do I tell the Droid to look at all my Google calendars?

From the claendar: Menu>Calendars ... make sure all the calendars you want to sync are checked.

I was browsing through the screenshots thread and found this:

It's called "pure grid calendar" and it does exactly what I wanted: shows the separate calendar colors on the full calendar screen.

The Android Agenda Widget also correctly displays the colors for each calendar.

I checked out the Calendar Pad app/widget, but it just feels and looks cheap, like when you take a screen shot of your computer screen and paste it into Paint to edit. I was not overly impressed. Android Agenda Widget still suits my personal wants/needs best.
