I'm going to hit Costco, as they usually do a decent accessories package included for what you pay VZW for just the phone.. that being said, if it is web only to start, cyber-shopping AWAY!!!

I cant cyber shop or go to cosco/BJ's because I have a $100 reward card thats only good at a Verizon store. Not a kiosk or affiliate type of store.

Stopped by a Verizon authorized retail store a little while ago, and they didn't even have an activated Razr in the store - just the demo with the sticker screen. And it wasn't even OUT, the sales guy had to go looking for it. I told him nevermind, if it's not activated, it's pretty useless, and besides, I was waiting for the Galaxy Nexus. He had a puzzled look on his face for a fraction of a second and then smiled and said he didn't know when that one was coming out, but that they don't usually know until a couple of days before, sometimes not until the day OF. Take it FWIW. He did confirm they have not gotten any accessories yet.

Unfortunately, in my experience, those "authorized retailers" are even more clueless than the corporate store reps.

I'm in a similar boat with Best Buy gift cards. I guess I could try and trade/sell them if I had to, but BB will get it at some point so there is no point.

I have to admit that I find it funny that it was easier to buy good tickets to see Roger Waters perform The Wall in May '12 than it is to get a phone company to take my $$$$ (of which they will get 0 until this phone is released).

Sweet!! Thnx to your post, I just noticed Roger is coming to Wrigley Field next June. Gonna have to check that out. Ahhhhhh the good ol days!!

My guess at challenge 1:

44 dots = week 44 (Oct. 31st-Nov. 6th)
+ 6 Androids = six additional weeks.

Galaxy Nexus is going to be for sale in week 50 (Dec. 12th-Dec. 18th)

I was hoping it would be sooner.

I created a Twitter account just for these challenges. I hope I did it right.

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be a location of sorts.
the 6 Androids represent the six letters (correctly color-coded) of the Google logo.
Those dots and the asterisk of each Andy are key, I think, to solving this dumb puzzle

The question asked where it was coming from I don't think that image has any hidden clues for the release date.

I'm gonna say don't worry about that. 10 days of giveaways leads squarely to the 21st. This'll go right up to launch, me thinks.

The problem with the andys representing GOOGLE is that you've got duplication with the G's and O's with no corresponding duplication on the dots...

FRUSTRATING.

Well, for what it's worth.............. I also stopped by my VZW store today. They had quite a few Razr's on display. They were all set for wifi use. The browser worked extremely well and looked great!

The phone is indeed really thin and light. Overall build quality was very good. I came away from the experience with 2 things that stood out in my mind.

One was how fast and smooth the phone operated (not much heat at all?). The other was how well the screen looked. I saw no pentile artifacts, and i am VERY picky. I blue toothed my favorite picture to the phone and set zoom levels the same with my Droid X. I have done this with other phones and i can say this Razr screen easily out shines every other screen i have looked at. I would give it a score of 10 out of 10 :) Absolutely gorgeous to my eyes!

I am now SURE that the GN will be a solid choice for me. The release date is kind of annoying but when it does come out....................unless there are alarming defects, which won't happen, it is indeed the phone of choice for me :):)

Went to Verizon today to find out some info and get my younger son a basic phone.I asked the salesman about the G Nex...He said "We dont even have those in stock yet".He then told me how dismal the Razr phone sales are and laughed about opening up later.I also picked up a Razr and it was oddly warm as compared to other phones that were on next to it.Only warm on the screen not the back.

well considering its not(razor) on backorder I believe him lol

I think the dots, their location on the android (spread out in 8 sections), and the asterisk on each android are code for some letter or number. This implies that the final answer would either be some 6 digit number or 6 letter word that would specify a location. The Andy's identical color pattern to Google's logo I think either has some minor connection to the final answer or is just there for the heck of it.
The page tab says "Google * Nexus," leaving out the word Galaxy. Might be a hint, might not.... meh
