Because we all forgot how to play nice? I know it's a bit off topic but the Google contest, games talk and anything else hasn't been too bad, IMHO.
I think the closer we get, the more we all have to remember that tempers are getting shorter as well.

It like the worst case of senior-itis with extra toddler wanting ice cream on top. I feel lucky to be going slightly less crazy now that I have puppies to chase. Did make my day when a friend posted the LED video on my FB though! That's a true friend

I have no doubts that it will. And a lot of us will still 'see' one another in the various threads that have and will spawn from the phone. Until that time though I think we all need to dig deep for some of that elusive virtue called patience and hold onto our sense of humor.

Can't wait to test the zero shutter lag! They will be giving it a work out I am sure! Charge camera is ok but definitely laggy and puppy movement blurs easily so I am hoping for some improvement there.

Do we expect it to not have issues? Of course it will we all are gonna basically be the beta testers for ICS. But the bugs will get fixed because its a nexus

Do we think Google or Samsung will advertise this device as much as they do the SGSII? I see those commercials frequently.

I haven't seen any of those, but I typically skip commercials anyway. Are they carrier subsidized commercials or just straight commercials like those that HTC does?

I could see an ad showing of the Nexus and ICS with a little Verizon splash at the end. Then again, Google could just keep it web based since they really control that side of advertising anyway. If they want this to be more mainstream then we should start seeing commercials soon. On the other hand, if they want to stick with the status quo then they will probably just do a full on web blast for advertising instead. If you really think about it, they could blast the entire planet with ads and not spend a penny doing it. I'd prefer them to do one or two commercials for it though.

Thanks EKG...I wasn't going to share that info because no matter how open and spot on she has been in the past, each phone release of this magnitude (for us anyway) takes on a life with its own parameters. I don't want any of us to be let down if VZW throws a wrench in the process. However, post it I did. Readers be cautious and take away anything that will help ease the pain of waiting, while remembering that nothing at this stage in set in stone. I've not seen a launch that is as fluid as this one before.

No. Tribes 2 was for T1 players who couldn't hack it on a ladder or played renegades or whatever other crap mods for T1. The first game was where it was at, especially for broadband users.

But in the end I will defend the NEXUS...
