So on the thread it says Nov 17th. Realistically thinking, it should say Nov 21st.;)

It's still wishy washy either way. I expect it'll come out on the 17th, especially now given that the Ice Cream Sandwich source code will be out that day too. There have been countless other clues for the 17th too, so I don't know which date is most "realistic". If we're aiming for realism, we should just change the thread title to "releasing before the end of the year", because that's all that's been officially confirmed.

But yeah, given what we know, I think it'll be out the 17th. It's realistic enough for me.

Google said that the source code would be available after release of the SGN to consumers. Technically, we already knew the 17th was the date because that's when it will release in Europe.

I don't think it has anything to do with when it will release here. As BMX stated a couple times, Google doesn't seem to know what Verizon is doing. Based on what my sister has said, not even Verizon knows what Verizon is doing.

Sorry to rain on the parade, just trying to be realistic.

Now back to the wonderful Bears vs. Kittens game. I love Devin Hester!

Are you sure thisnt for the gsm version because Google did specify that the Verizon version will be "slightly thicker"

That is a good point, but I will take the risk rather than have Verizon bug the crap out of me when I go buy the phone. I'm doing the same thing I did with my S, walk in with my OWN case and screen protectors that I get for 1/3 of the price and have them work fine...But yeah, the "slightly" different size I wouldn't think would make too big of a difference case wise, but I am not sure.

Does that have a clear cover over the camera lens or just a cutout?

I would assume a cut out, as I haven't ever seen a TPU case with a cover over the lens. I have 3 TPU cases for my X, and none of them have a clear cover.

1) Go Bears ;) I'm watching the Giants vs. 49ers game myself, but I'm sure Chicago's got it covered. It's the Giants I'm worried about, they'd better pull through.
2) That's true, but the source code release was only one of the many signs pointing to a 17th release. We've heard from at least 2 separate sources for the 17th, Verizon's started Gnex training and Verizon stores have gotten Gnex accessories. Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't be too peeved at a 21st release, but the 17th isn't too good to be true :)
3) You had to use the word "realistic", didn't you :p

True to form, Suh goes for the head and rips off Cutler's helmet. Dirty, dirty player.

On topic:

Is anyone planning on checking out the HTC device tomorrow in case a fallback is needed?

I might. Verizon hasn't even announced it yet though. We Gnexers may think that we got shafted but the Rezoundites in the same boat. If they haven't shown the Rezound any love, I sincerely doubt the Gnex is going to get the spotlight on the 15th. A soft release is looking really likely at this point.

Don't get me wrong, I'm thinking the 17th is it, too. I'm just not putting all my hopes in it because I'm really tired of being disappointed by Verizon.

Eli Manning tends to get overlooked because of Peyton, but he is one of the most clutch quarterbacks I've ever seen!

I am. In an ideal world - I will be able to walk into my local Verizon store on the 17th or 18th, and compare the Razr, Rezound, and Gnex - then walk out with the one that "speaks to me". I am betting that will be the Gnex, but you never know. As of tomorrow I can check out two, but all three would be delicious.

At the HTC announcement Verizon said it was coming the 14th, and some early adopters have already received them.

The G Nex would have to be a MAJOR DISSAPOINTMENT for me, but that phone would be on the short list of things to look at.

Yeah, I'm going to check it out, I think this phone deserves a good look ;)

I'm still going to get the GNex though, my mind is already made up on that point.

Just last night I got a good look at the Razr and I wasn't all that impressed with it, but it is a nice phone.

Oh, I thought that was HTC that said that.
Still, though, it's not on Verizon's website, like it was for the RAZR. You get taken to a sign up page just like the one for the Gnex. Unless you're a superfan or at least went out of your way to google it, you wouldn't know that a new flagship phone was coming out tomorrow.

I know NA is a Bengals fan, so that's all I can add to this -

Just saw a "this nfl game sponsored by the HTC Rezound" during the 2-minute warning commercial break:)

I thought I read that Google was releasing the code *after* the release of the GN. The 17th can't be after the 11/17 European release, so maybe we see the GN early this coming week?

Go 9ers ...

If the source code is released on the 17th, without the VZW version released... it will put a ton of pressure on VZW to release it ASAP. Not only will they take a back seat to other countries at that point (and lose sales from importers), but they will also lose the momentum with every other phone out there getting custom ICS Roms. People will begin to care a whole lot less about the Nexus, if they can get a much cheaper ($0.69 at Sam's Club) SGSII with an ICS custom rom. Just my 2 cents... but VZW better pull their heads out of their arses or they will take a BIG hit on sales.
