Caved and went to corporate store. Razr is nice - don't.mind the less vivid screen at all. Rezound is definitely not for me. Never been a fan of HTC dorm factor.

And then I got to play with the Gnex accessories. Really nice reps! Said.they'd done the training and they're just waiting now. Double and triple checked their system for me. But things in it yet. Gave me a nice pick me up though! Less depressed than before about these shenanigans.

Wow, really? :( Ok, I'll try to clarify.

People were starting to go overboard. Mailbombing Verizon might get you an announcement, but it definitely causes a work disruption for innocent employees. And doing that with the forum's name adds insult to injury.

That's all that was about, really.

The call to cutbacks on the thread milestones was a carefully considered point on Phases' part. We are only concerned that moving forward, posting about post number milestones may obscure the real milestones for the phone. If you want that reconsidered, a friendly PM is your best bet.

We're still the same cats as yesterday, working hard to give a venue that's fun and informative for people of all walks.

Besides, I would personally miss you here!

I understand some may have gone overboard. Nothing but respect for you and the other mods that have taken part in this thread. Can't say enough good things about you guys. I stand by my statement. Best regards to everyone, I will see you in the forums after release. :)

I think it's largely a generational thing...

I'm 27 and hadn't seen any of the Star Wars movies until about 2 years ago. I also hadn't seen any of the Harry Potter movies until a few months before Half Blood Prince was coming out. Then I cracked when I got Netflix and went through them all.... The results for me?

Star Wars: Other than Yoda, I didn't really like them that much. Especially the old ones, but I have a weird thing with old movies UNLESS I was into them as a little kid. I just can't stand old movies, the look, the acting, everything... The newer ones also didn't help much for me. Some parts were cool, like Yoda fighting the old guy, and pretty much anything else Yoda.

Harry Potter: I love them, oficially got hooked. Just all around a very cool set of movies for those who like escapism. Good acting IMO as well. Obviously the first couple were a little corny at times, but they're little kids so they get a pass.

Twilight: Kill me for admitting this, but I find them entertaining. The fans are annoying, but you can say that about any die hard fans of anything (can you say APPLE???) Tweens just tend to make it ten times worse.

First...

(I think SW haters should be banned)

Second...

I'm only 30 and Star Wars was huge when I was a kid. I had the action figures and everything. I find it hard to believe that only 3 years later, it was old news... I mean, I was like 7-8 when I had the action figures, so, you would have been alive then. I blame your parents, clearly they didn't love you (I'm kidding).

Third...

I'm with you on HP. Love them, got into it late and was standing in the store at midnight when the last book dropped.

Fourth...

Twilight - NO, negative,

So... any update on that letter from Rob or the Phandroid article?

Honestly, when Rob and Phases both showed up at the same time, I felt like Agent Smith and Agent Smith had entered the Matrix to punish us or something

Literally two serious LOLs!

Expect Rob is working on that in his usual, thoughtful manner. ;)

After OfTheDamned rang the bell, Steven went to our private area and Phases and Rob quickly joined, dropping other things and we asked for help.

We don't get to see them post nearly enough because of other duties, but when they do, they come with total commitment to the community.

Personally, I always like it when they drop in.

Plus - Phases is going for the Nexus, so he's on this same front line with everyone. ;)

Not at all. They were called in to guide us, not to discipline us. Rob's going to help us, when he's available. ( He's away right now)

Ok let me get this straight, I leave for a relaxing day of paintball, college football and steak and come back to find petitions, letters, intervention from Rob and Phases, the site shut down for an hour, hands slapped for milestone posts and high fives for said milestone posts, and we are still no closer to knowing the "real" release date or whether it's 32 GB or 16 GB (outside of a quick text from Han's sister).

So in other words just another typical day in the life of a Gnexer.

I went to Verizon today. I came to my senses about the iPhone after playing with the Rezound first. I really loved that phone and almost bought it! In fact, I keep thinking I should have. The salesman kept trying to get me to check out the Razr, but I told him I just didn't like the looks of it. He claimed that was what he was going to buy when he could upgrade next month. When I told him the phone I was most interested in wasn't out yet, he immediately asked if I was referring to the GN. He said he understood why I wanted to wait for it, but gave me his card, explained they work on commission and asked me to see him when it comes out.

I still can't get the Rezound off my mind. Remind me why the GN is so much better. I wonder if the price of the Rezound will drop once it hits the stores. What about flash? I've been reading it doesn't work on the GN. Is it related to the phone or ICS?

On a side note - after what somebody posted earlier about what was going on during the Dinc pre-release thread - I don't think we are really all that obsessed. He was saying they were following FedEx and UPS trucks through neighborhoods, staking out stores, going to the UPS distribution center to see what was getting loaded onto trucks, etc... I mean - we only had one of our members "hang out" at a Verizon store and he just happened to check out a FedEx and UPS truck.

We're all good here - no worries

I'm sure, and I have only respect for the owner, admins, and mods. It's just that when they locked the thread I was strangely reminded of the scene where they freeze the Matrix :D

I guess that was more like the Adjustment Bureau, but who's watched that, right? Certainly not me.

Better GPU, bigger screen and battery, panoramic camera with zero shutter lag, guaranteed vanilla ICS without waiting for carrier/OEM delays, soonest updates, etc. Flash hasn't been updated for ICS yet but will be soon.

Not to mention better CPU. OMAP4> S3, despite the bump from 1.2 to 1.5.

You lost me at Twilight

Anyway, Does anyone know if there is a way to find out what camera sensors the GSII and Nexus have? I'm just curious to see which one has the better sensor.

Most phones (Android and iPhone alike) use sensors from a single OEM. Without a non-disclosure agreement, you can't get the real details, and their website is purposefully sparse on hard specs.

Samsung tends to make their own sensors and are even more secretive.

Best expectation I have is for an overall great mobile sensor while we all cry for a better cell phone camera no matter what they give us.

I posted a workable scheme for interchangeable lenses for mobile phone cameras some time ago. Maybe if I were to patent and then troll it, they'd adopt it.

I'm going to wash my mouth out with soap now.
