Alright gang. 7am golf in the morning, so, I'm out until around noon tomorrow. I expect good news, rainbows, unicorns and some singing of kumbaya when I return.

would someone be so kind as to give me a summary of what all is going on right now?

I saw some sort of letter written and a scolding note from an admin a few pages back... whats that all about?

Any word on why google removed the 32gb model from their page?

those of you who have held the rezound, how thick is it? really thick? im coming from a dinc, i just want to know what its like.

What is the deal with no flash in ICS , why would they do that?

Dude, how many posts today are you planning on mentioning you got a nexus? We get it already, you're excited and we're excited for you, but please enough already...

He's saying that he got a screen protector. He is optimistic for a Nexus release on monday when he'll put his screen protector on the phone. He doesn't have one yet. That's my understanding

I'm sure were all excited to have our very own Galaxy Nexus. I, like most am getting impatient. But here's the way I look at it. Verizon said they will sell the Galaxy Nexus by the end of the year. And that's pretty much it. By not committing to a date, they have the freedom to release this phone anytime in 2011 without lying to us.

We can all guess why Verizon hasn't released this phone yet. The people that run Verizon Wireless aren't stupid. I'm sure there is a reason why they do things the way they do. I don't know why, otherwise, I'd be very rich like they are. Verizon Wireless is a business and like most businesses, it's all about money. They will do whatever they think will make them the most money.

Maybe Verizon wants the Galaxy Nexus to be a super phone that will put the iphone to shame. As far as we know, Verizon, Google, and Samsung is working together to make this an awesome phone. Maybe there is problems with it and they are working them out before releasing it. The way Verizon sees it, they have the rest of the year to polish the Galaxy Nexus to make it better for us.

If the Galaxy Nexus and ICS is amazing, Verizon Wireless will make a lot of money. Not just from us who will buy it anyway, but from other android users and maybe even iphone/windows users. and not just from existing customers, but i'm sure they want to steal customers from other company's. But if the Galaxy Nexus and ICS turns out to be a flop because it wasn't quit ready, then Verizon will miss out on a lot of potential profits. Some bad reviews and problems could ruin this phone.

Verizon will do whatever they think will make them the most money in the long run. Hang in there everybody. If you cant wait, then there are alternatives.

No idea on the 32 GB foul up, could be a web specs mistake.

Flash is leaving mobile but at least one source has Google saying it will be there, just not ready for ICS yet.

Admin didn't mean to scold anyone, just pulling people back from the edge before a hateful mail bombing got out of hand.

Hope this helps! :)

My impatience got the better of me. I walked in at first trying to find out what the deal was with the Gnex and ended up buying (renting) a Razr. I looked at the Rezound and the only thing I didn't care for was the Sense UI. It's more of a personal gripe mainly because I love Cyanogenmod on my N1. Plus my rep knew I was trading it in for the Gnex and to help me with my decision he gave me a $50 discount since I was a new customer.

My only gripe is whether I'll get use to the bigger screen. Oh well at least I know that I can return it in January during their extended holiday return period.

Either way that Nexus will be mine :)

I'm going tomorrow to do the same thing. My Ally is intolerable at this point.

All this speculation on why Verizon hasn't released the phone is good and all but there are things we can actually do if we want it in our hands sooner. I've seen like 1k+ posts on speculation of who is to blame etc. If we could get at least that many emails to Verizon actually expressing our concerns I'm sure we could move mountains.

Edit: we may not move the release date up or anything, but we could get some solid info which is what most of us are really peeved about anyways

It's called being optimistic/joking. I don't have a nexus, but I'm hoping the verizon one comes on Monday.

I canceled my ebay purchased for the unlocked one. Just can't justify spending $800 and switching carriers when the verizon one should be here very soon.

I think people just want more communication. After all, the phone was released in the UK this week. It would be very pleasing if every 2 weeks Verizon just gave a twitter update -- "Working out the bugs guys. More news to come in 2 weeks". Something as simple as that would really minimize all of the speculation. On the other hand, them being quiet is creating buzz so who knows the real motive. Just my thoughts...

My concern would be the Evil Empire revoking our unlimited data because we dared to question their superior intellect and rational for withholding the best android phone ever made from the masses
