Eve Of The Genesis (Symphony of Eternity kind of)

Sorry, I've only just finished the northern cave but I'm missing weapon #10. Any ideas where I can find this?

Also, and this is a pretty n00b question, but what's a good strategy for using all my sands and the crystals? I've only upgraded Effat, Harty, Viper's main skills, but i'm sort of afraid of wasting the crystals on lesser skills. Also, what's a good use of my diffuse crystals and duplicate crystals?

Much appreciated!
Duplicate a level3+ skill then change it. Presto Ice level 3 and fire level 3.

Also the Holy Spell can be bought in The Nomads' camp. It upgrades to White Heaven Awesome Damage.

Assuming you saved prior to fighting, you can back track down through the mountain again and exit the way you came, putting you back at the original castle. From there you can find places to grind and pick up skills and such. If not, try your auto-save.

As far as tips, have an all-poison attack (I used effat since his always seemed to land plus does damage, then used explosive strike), someone who can buff or debuff (I managed it with only D-down all around the 90s), an all heal (either the second to last that heals 500 or last which heals all, depends on how much you think you can spare SP), and viper just landing his single attack.

where can i buy the all-poison attack skill, and all-heal skill?

To beat the Phoenix bosses, it's best to have the following: Characters around level 120 or higher, the best high level armor and weapons for every char, 20-30 SP Potions, 20-30 Super Potions, and at least 10 Elixirs. You can farm elixirs in the same area from the boss-like monsters.

In terms of skills, Explosive Strike on Eefat, Full revive on both female chars, Dragonrun for Viper, Heal All (at least 500 hp) on Clia, and the most important skill: S(trength) Up All on Clia!

With S Up on all your chars, even Harty can do 3000 damage crits with Triple Shot! Both Eefat and Viper will crit in the 2000s. Without S Up All, don't even bother attacking. Harty will do something like 100 damage, and both Eefat and Viper will be doing ~500 per attack. If S Up All is not on, use your attackers to pop potions so that Clia can use her turn for S Up All! I found the Poison Blade skill to be near worthless, as it only did 100 damage per turn. In the end, it maybe saved me 3-4 attacks, so that one is up to you. It's also annoying to have to wait for the 100 damage pop-up at the beginning of every Phoenix's turn.

You will need to get lucky because if all four Phoenix cast their elemental spells a couple of times in a row, you'll lose at least Eefat and Viper. If anyone gets physically attacked twice in one turn, they will die. Save your elixirs for when Clia is dead and low on SP or if both Clia and Harty are dead. Otherwise, just use Clia/Harty's revive skills, or use Eefat or Viper to throw some potions for additional healing in emergencies.

I would focus on the Red Phoenix at the back, since he casts S Up on himself, and will drop anyone in one hit with S Up. Then I'd move to the Blue, and save the Green for last, since he casts D Up and takes the longest to kill. Each Phoenix has 20000 hp, so it's all about a few lucky crits. Once you've dropped the first two, you've pretty much got it in the bag. It's not too hard. Good luck!

I am stuck at the boss after you beat the two large robots in the cloister of darkness. I could hold my ground for a little bit, but he crushed me with the instant death attack. Does anyone know what his weakness is? PLEASE HELP!!!!!!! Thanks

Berty, just make sure Harty and Clia both have the revi skill. It would be wise to upgrade it to 500 hp revive at the minimum. You WILL need it for extra bosses if you will be going for them. If not, then just use an elixir every time he uses his death move, and pile on the damage, and hope he dies. It may take about 10-15 elixirs though, as he has a lot of hp.

In terms of the Explosive Slash, you probably used a concentrating gem to turn it back into the single attack skill. Just use diffusing gems again to get it back to Explosive Slash. They give you the option of switching back and forth once you reach a certain level. The only gems that "level up" a skill are the reinforcing gems.

I have a question about the phoenix's as well. I understand I am able to travel on a phoenix, but what is a phoenix pertaining to battle?

The only way I found to revive someone who is dead is to use an elixir or Harty/Clia's Revi skill (you should upgrade this skill on both chars to revive with 500 hp as soon as possible).

I forget which town sells this spell, but it should be somewhere around 2/3 through the game. Just quick travel with a feather to random towns until you find it, then load your game when you've figured it out.

S Down means Strength Down. It's one of Clia's spells. However, I find using the Attribute Down spells is mostly a waste. On the tough bosses where it really matters, they don't always attack with physical attacks, and in addition, these status affects do NOT land 100% of the time. Most of the time, you end up wasting your turn. The only one I recommend is D(efense) Down All. It helps when grinding in the last area for elixirs and you can try it on the tougher bosses (though I've never landed it successfully on Phoenix, so don't bother with that one).

In regards to the phoenix battle, that's the final battle in the game. You obviously haven't reached that point yet.

I beg to differ on the Sdown. Even if you only land half of sdown, it'll diminish the bosses physical attack to a measely 100 from 400. Physical attacks from these guys hurt much more than magic attacks. The pheonixes also bothers to remove Sdown clear status as well, which means no damage at all. Also, SUp on phoenixes hit for 800. It's well worth it to keep them Sdowned so at best they're Szero. Even if they don't impact magic attacks, with everybody decked out using those elemental resist armors, hardly any of my chars died from 100% magic focus, except the guy the god of armor or w/e. With Sdown I only had to use one Spotion and one Elixir the entire phoenix fight.

I do agree on Ddown. It quickened the phoenix battle once I wasn't spamming heal every other turn.

Thank you!

Another question - beat the game, got the key to vipers memory, and now am in the in phantom peak. The random enemies are easy enough, but the final boss just wipes me out. I went to this area before I should have (dont have all the skills, weapons/armors) and am around level 100 with all my characters, but still can't beat them. Is there anyway back to the main map without beating this boss??? Or, tips on beating them?

Thank you!

I beat them at level 131... fly to the islands and fight bosses there to get "sands of XXXX" drops to make it easier. "S UP ALL", "D Down All", Ricardium and Rividal are necessary spells. Have rividal on both girls.
