Running Sholes 2.0.3 ROM at a cooool 1.3 GHz with JIT enabled.

12.618 Mflops/s doesn't suck.

Install Linpack for Android if you'd like to run this test on your DROID.

lol its like people saying ATM machine... the m stands for machine. the ps in MFLOPS stands for per second.


hows your battery at 1.3? i cant understand the reasons to try and make the processor run at more than double its rated speed. where do you REALLY notice any differences?

I thought jit was disabled on sholes 2.03?

I haven't noticed any difference at all regarding battery usage.

You can't understand why someone would over-clock a CPU? Really? "Because I can" works for me. Now post your MFlops/PER SECOND score and I'll show you another reason.

Theres a buried thread on it somewhere on alldroid. Definitely not worth the hassle to enable it.

Si, the higher the better.

Pretty standard benchmark test for anything with a CPU in it.

And that is exactly the point of this thread.

Stock 2.0.1 = 4.437 Mflops
Sholes 2.0.3 @ 1.3 Ghz = 12.618 Mflops

People are always asking if all this ROM business and over-clocking is worth it. It's nice to see a quantitative answer.
