I have had my Rezound since 11-14. Everything was great until 11-17, since then the phone has got stuck in a boot loop 4 times. Every time I had to do a battery pull and factory reset, which is annoying since I had everything set up. The last 2 times I didnt load anything on the phone except my contacts, and the SD card has been out since reboot #2.

Coming from the DINC I am pretty dissapointed. Going to hopefully get a replacement tomorrow. I really like the phone, but if it has too many bugs I am going to wait for the Nexus.

Anyone else having the reboot problem??

What variable changed on your phone between now and the last time that it worked? Any software changes, app installs etc? Typically a computer device acts up when there's a change in software, hardware, or the operating conditions.

The last 2 times I didnt load anything on the phone except my contacts, and the SD card has been out since reboot #2.

I went to the Verizion store today and exchanged it without a problem. The employee told me mine was the third to have that problem. Unknown how many they sold though so maybe like any new product there are a few lemons produced. I am hoping the new one works great!

I had this same thing happen to me yesterday. I uninstalled a live wallpaper and went back in and checked if it was gone and it wasnt. So I rebooted my rezound thinking that would resolve it still showing. Well when I did that the phone keeped rebooting non stop. It would get to the lock screen I would unlock it and then it would reboot. Everything I tried would not stop it from doing it. Battery pulls to no end! So I ended up doing a hard reset and all is good now. Well so far anyways. So do you guys think I should take it back and get a new one? Or should I wait it out and see if it does it again?
PS I did have fast boot ticked but I have it unticked now.

I seemed to solve my reboot issues by reformatting my sd card and doing a factory reset.

Happened to me this morning. Powered it off to charge last night and when I turned it on kept rebooting and had no signal. Pulled the battery a few times to stop the booting but would repeat every time I turned it on. When I finally had the lock screen when I went to unlock it started the boot up again. Ended up taking it to verizon where the rep did a factory reset. Love the phone but this kind of bugs me after only 10 days.

I am so glad I read this today at work.... I had a few minutes and was checking the device forums. Happened to read the post for this. Not 5 minutes ago my own Rezound started the boot looping issue. I had set the device to 3g only as I don't live in a lte market....

Fix is as follows:
Pull bat, remove sim card. Power on, device should fully start and go into emergency mode. Set it back to cdma/lte
Menu<settings<wireless&networks<mobile networks<network mode<lte/cdma

Power off phone, sim card back in and you should be good. I'm just worried what's gonna happen to my awesome battery life now....

Ill post tomorrow after I run into work and add my phone to the thread. I think they said a MR is in the works....let you guys know!

I didn't have to remove my sim - but I did have to reformat my sd card and factory reset. That was Thursday.

Re-boot happened to me too.
Funny thing is when the cover was off, it would not reboot. The second I put it on, it started re-booting over and over.
Tried this about 3 times and it was the same outcome. Cover off was fine. Cover on was re-boot.
Anyways, I had to factory reset my phone and all is good again.

Funny you mention the cover, I noticed the same thing. It started for me when my phone was in 3G ALL day and I've never seen 3G for the 4 days I've have this thing. I figured something was up so I did a battery pull and it never booted properly again. With the cover off it would boot to lock screen but I had no signal "X" although WiFi did pick up a signal

Factory Reset = PITA but I'm back in action

Just wanted to give an update....Since this happened to me and I did a hard reset I havent had any problems at all. I am still in limbo whether or not I should take it back and exchange it for a new one? Other then this set back I am really loving this phone!

Fwiw: There's a report in another forum saying the guy at the store immediately replaced the stock battery with a new one and it has not happened since.

Guess an exchange is in my future. Grrr. Turned my phone off, stuck the extended battery in and now we are in the loop again - hadn't done that since Thanksgiving but then again, I hadn't powered it off. Not happy. Just got it back the way I wanted it.

Pulled my sim and that didn't reset it.

Just wiped the sd card, no go, so now on to the factory reset. Hope they fix this issue soon and that I don't get another reject. Love this phone too much.

Hey all. I had this problem come up randomly and found this thread tonight.

I have no task killers, stock htc rezound bunch of regular apps installed... no rooting.

My Reboot loop is thus: Turn on phone, boots up, lock screen apppears... if I'm fast enough I can unlock it and see the "Loading...." screen for the HTC Sense I imagine... phone freezes and eventually reboots within seconds.

Here's my assessment...

I took off the battery cover and it booted up just fine.

Replaced the battery cover and it would get into reboot loop.

Remove battery cover again, phone boots fine.

Replace battery cover while phone is running fine, freezes up and reboots.

I then tried booting it with no cover and then putting the extended battery cover on. same thing, instant freeze!

So now i'm wondering what the OS is doing when the battery cover is on, as opposed to being off... it would help out!

I figured on a temporarly solution I think...

I booted the phone w/o a cover so it works.
I set network mode to lte/cdma, removed a few recent apps (espn scoreboard...etc, nothing crazy)
I re-enabled "Fast boot" (something must have turned it off)... replaced the cover, and it booted and is now working fine again.

I'll try tinkering with some more settings..
