Help E-mail Notification Sounds

I get the different email account notices using Enhanced Email from the market. It has an option for each email account you set up through the app.

And Welcome to AF Woodsytattooman! Browse the application section and you'll find links to Enhanced email. OR if you log on to www.quantumsolutions.us/ which is the developers site, they have a free trial version of the app you can try before purchasing!

Thanks for the option but this is just a work around. There should be a way to change the notification sound using the default mail app.

did you first go to your droid's Settings > sound > Notification Sound > and have it checked.

Next: what are your menu options for the stock email? I am not using stock anymore and all my separate email notificationis settings are withiin Enhaned Email.

I may be incorrect, but I think this was one reason i wanted this tool because the stock email had basic settings and no individual unique per-account notice.. again i an be wrong..

Verify what you see for two distinct accounts and post here.

I did change it under default notifications.
There is no option to select notification sound under the default mail, just turn on or off notification.

When you load the Email app and click on "Accounts". Then see your various accounts. from there you selected an account > menu > more > Account Settings > Notification Settings > Select ringtone

(Do you see these menu options when getting to one of your registered email accounts as shown above?

I also tried the Gmail app and it don't have the option either.Im just puzzled because my htc aria didn't have this problem.

yep, if youve accessed your email app listed above where you select an account from the listed accounts and you dont see the option to go to the menus listed, you may need an email tool.

Your android version was the same on the new phone and your ht aria im sure? Else your aria had an additional level already installed.

yep sometimes between versions , they may either leave something off like this.

Its rather finicky too, the notification , its gotta be set up just so. Try that quantumsolutions site and grab a trial of their email app.

then walk yourself through the sttings after you register your account through enhanced email rather than the stock.

I am sure you will also notice with enhanced email. you will see another opton not in stock: youll be able to do a "select all" and a "delete all" instead of deleteing one at a time which gets tedius

There is the option to delete all at once with the default mail.
Go to inbox/check one message/click menu/then select all/Delete:)

Very nice! It must be a feature added later or some devices got it where some didn't. My Streak doesnt have select-all or delete-all stock option. But I am glad it is included in stock for others! :D

Woohoo! I had to finally turn off all those notices, I have 5 accounts and a diff noise for each. Was funny how they pinged one after the other.

Just what I was looking for regarding the standard email! Cool! Now if I can get Google and Hotmail to have their own sounds, and missed calls/Voicemail alerts...

This is going to sound funny.. but is there a way or program to reduce the e-mail notification sound at a certain time?

I like being able to hear a different sound letting me know I have e-mail, but I dont want to hear it late at night when I sleep. The only option I have is making it the same level as the ringer. I want to be able to hear a call at 2am but I dont care about the mail at that time.. haha

Using the default mail yes there is an option.
Open mail/settings/update schedule/Then set up your peak times start and ending time.
It don't reduce the sound but you stop getting emails during the time frames you choose.
