I thought I had done this a few weeks ago but I just made a post and noticed it was number 1... so this must have slipped my mind.

I'm Damien.. live in podunk VA...

Lived in Dallas before here and was with ATT using an unlocked Nokia E71 for the past couple years. Loved the phone but finding a REAL keyboard to replace the OE one after a key broke off was impossible. Kept gettin chinese knock offs. Anywho... fast fwd to Dec 2010, i get divorced, moved to VA and life in the country. Had to say bye bye to ATT and the family plan that was in the wife's name and Verizon had the best coverage in the area. So i checked out my options and went with the Eris.

So far its a good phone. I live with my phone in my hand, mostly texting and net when i'm on the go.. and even though i've managed to keep the up time to around 17% the battery sucks. got a bigger one from Seido on the way. Hoping that will fix the issue.

So far I've done a bit of lurking on here and gotten some good info on the OS and tips and tweaks. Its more than greatly appreciated.

Thanks to the Admins for keepin this place goin and helping a newb get his feet wet
