I plan on posting anything I think is relevant which may include rumors.

VZW just released a visual voicemail app in the market yesterday. My silly school-girl optimism concludes that this means they're getting prepped for the SGN release since it doesn't include VVM

Right now, the most probably date is Dec. 8th. This is coming from developers who may be privy to this information, but it's still all rumors at this point.

**Update**

Been texting my friend from Best Buy about the leaked screen shot (reference a few posts up) and had him look up the item # and model in the inventory managment system. He confirmed the "In Stock Date" as 12/11/11 he said this typically means they will get shipments in a few days before or after (which would coincide with the typical Friday truck deliveries his store gets)

Hopefully this is helpful to you all, more signs pointing to either a 12/8, 12/11 or 12/12 release.

What are "Pre-order prompts"?

I have no idea. I assume it's like a trigger or something, to prompt the CSR to ask the customer if they want to upgrade to the SGN or something.

I sent her back a text asking how long after the "prompts" get sent out does a phone get put on sale. I'll text back if she says anything.

She seems to be distracted at the moment.

I wonder if this has any relevance? Since VZW is 45% owned by Vodafone. I know it's the GSM model, but maybe the same financial strategy for release.

This was posted today on AC FWIW:

My partner (works for VZW corp) was selected to be part of a round table discussion meeting this morning for our region (the South region). In the meeting, the regional VP for the South for Verizon was there, along with the area president and district managers for various districts. The Regional VP announced in the meeting that the Nexus is coming on the 8th to VZW corporate stores and online. This matches with what P3 has been saying and what Verizon's own OMM marketing system has said for weeks now. The date is essentially set in stone at this point.

Another noteworthy piece: the regional VP said corporate is really excited about this phone. My partner told me he gets the feeling that corporate VZW expects it to be their first real successor to the OG Droid, and that it should share similar success.

Okay here's the short story: I have a rep who has hooked me up in the past, and we made an agreement...

(S)he calls me as soon as (s)he knows when Nexus is launching and I'll make sure (s)he gets the purchase commission on the phone and some accessories. Not a bad trade, huh?

I got a call on my cell phone tonight from said rep! And Launch Day is:

DECEMBER 8TH!



SO I am 99% convinced that - unless Verizon completely botches it - I have 6 days to go and I'll be holding my Beloved Nexus in my hands! WHOOT!

MY bad news is that (s)he doesn't start work until 11AM so I have to wait 2 agonizing hours after they open to buy it! Oh well, more time to play with the demo and pick out my accessories
