Once you have the older version installed and set up (yep, you have to do it again), go ahead and make a call using GV. A number should show across the top of the screen, write that number down and add it to your F&F. You'll want to leave your GV number in there as well for incoming calls.

Also, on the GV website you need to go into settings and change your call settings. Under "Caller ID (incoming)" you need to check "Display my Google Voice number" or your incoming calls will count as normal calls.

If you want to make some calls with GV and some without, I recommend Voice Choice (in market) as it will automatically route your calls for you. So you don't have to select the option each time you call out. The 2.0 or pro version will even do this with text messages I think.

all i can say is thanx..if you were in the area i would buy you a couple shots or something...amazing.

I am a Google Voice user. I really like the look of the Verizon Visual Voicemail app pictured. I think Google Voice could really use a refresher. I like the pictures by the voicemails.

in 4.0 google voice's voicemail is embedded in the actual call log!

I have a question about the new ICS browser to distract from the exciting new release date chatter. One new feature I've seen mentioned is the ability to save web pages for offline reading. What makes this different from the current ability to long press on the page and select "Saved Pages", then "Save current page"? I have used this to look at pages offline using the current browser.

This one is driving me real batty.

Couldn't find the jpg picture of the zedge backround.

I did notice something interesting: When I change the scene of my homepage to the stock HTC scene my backround goes back to the stock rainbow colors. When I go back to my saved scene the wallpaper shows up again. When I click on wallpaper though it looks through my pictures but doesn't find the actual image of the wallpaper I'm trying to find. This is a real real tough one to solve. I've asked in other forums through PM's and I really would want to solve this before I order my new Nexus. Thanks!

Idea... get a clear screen with no icons. Make as much of the wallpaper visible as possible. Then do a screencap > put that picture on your computer (dropbox, email, tether) > then go to Tineye.com and upload the picture.

I may be able to find the original picture for you...

The AMP ones are good. And Rockstar has a Guava flavored one that is good too....just makes my heart race like one of those skeleton dogs chasing the furry thing.
Yeah, forgot about AMP, that's one I drink a lot too. Rockstar does have a few decent variants, mostly the "Juiced" ones.

EDIT: BB, AMP is probably too sweet for you. It's made by Pepsico and basically tastes like Mountain Dew.

Was that one week before the pre-order (10/27) or one week before release (11/10)?

I'm assuming that it's one week before pre-order (10/27).

If one week is the case, then if there is a pre-order, we'd see it within the next 24-48 hours. I would think we'd be seeing the emails from Google and Verizon as well. I'd say the next 24-48 hours is crucial if we see a release next week on or around the 8th.

Based on what my sister said, it appears that the 8th is the day. But the day for what? Pre-order only? Or both order and availability?

I asked her this but she hasn't gotten back to me yet. Probably won't get a good answer til after she gets out of work today.

Any lower employees in here that can verify?

via PM if you are uncomfortable releasing info to public of course.
FWIW (probably not much), but I talked to a friend of mine who works at a VZW corporate store (I know, I know), and yesterday his district manager and their Samsung rep informed his store that the Galaxy Nexus is launching no later than December 15th, but shooting for a December 8th launch. They weren't told anything about a possible preorder.

I really hesitated to post this because I know how most people around here view this sort of information, so grab your salt shaker if you must.

Cheers...
