This is just a fun little experience I had that I thought I would share with alll of you. A couple of weekends ago I was on a road trip with some friends and we had stopped and a steak n shake to get some food. Well, this gentleman on the end of the table was on his iPhone.... he was attempting to download an app or game or something and I heard him say "agh I can't download, I'm not getting internet!" while he was proclaiming his distress with his lack of connection I sat at the other end of the table on my eris browsing facebook statuses and surfing the web, no problems what so ever. I felt as though I was in a verizon commercial and that those goofy maps were gonna pop up over both of our heads. Now, I mean this situation is more credited to verizon rather than it is to the Eris itself but it still made me damn proud to be an Eris user and not an iPhone shlub!

I had a similar experience although not with a Eris. I was at a LSU football game and a lady in the row in front of me was trying to get football scores on her iPhone (which she couldn't do). I then used my crappy Blackberry Pearl and was able to pull scores for her no problem Verizon does rock - just not their phone lineup :(

AT&T Service was very good around my area - Philadelphia, and is actually superior in subway areas than Verizon.

I had the original iPhone, back in the days before 3G. Not dissing it, but I do love my Eris more.

Just please play YouTube videos soon.

lol yeah I'm in New Jersey right by NYC... And both Verizon and AT&T have very good service here in my area, but there are spots where AT&T just drops all the time, while Verizon stays strong :) Just depends where you live is all. When I was down in Philly visiting some friends, I actually had pretty crappy service in some areas.

NJ REPRESENT!
I'm right by NYC and my friends with AT&T have really spotty 3G and just basic coverage. I wish my Eris could laugh at their shotty Iphones

Ha sweet I didn't know you were from North Jersey too. I knew you were from NJ but didn't know where. I'm in Morris County (35 miles west of NYC).

Anyway back on to the subject lol, my friends w/ iPhones get crappy service in some areas too, BUT when they DO have service, they like to rub in my face the whole "surf and talk" thing blah blah blah.

Yeah every time I visit NYC, my friends say AT&T has bad coverage, surprising for such a big city, haha, but I guess the switch to Verizon was necessary.

Either way, I didn't do the 2 year contracts with verizon and will never do them anymore, so I can always switch to T-Mobile if I move to NYC (They say it's better there), or just stick with Verizon.

The only time I ever lose connection is in elevators and subways or any service I've ever had. Living in AC atm, Verizon is good, but love my phone more. haha

Story of my life... my co-worker has an iPhone and I am constantly looking up videos, apps and other stuff for him because he doesn't have service. And he's sooo excited because they finally put in 3G service in our area, but he doesn't even get that service many places, including work. And we work in a hospital in a small town in eastern washington. Go figure! Lol and the other day we were talking about apps and he was shocked to find out that all the apps I have were free! Ahhh I am so proud of my phone and network!! :D
