Canadian Motorola Milestone Connection

Hi guys,

So the Milestone was released today !
Telus only ships to Canadian addresses though.

Being Canadian I figured I would lend a helping hand to my fellow Americans.

If anyone is interested, for $10, I can order your phone and have it shipped to your US mailing address.
I can also have it unlocked prior to shipping and will inquire about pricing upon request.

I think you are correct. If you buy a non-subsidised phone you are entitled to the unlock code.

I got the unlock code for my "subsidized" AT&T smartphone simply by calling and asking for it. I was eligible for an upgrade, but still a solid 6 months to go on my 2 year contract.

If they won't give the code "in Canada", have you tried telling them that you're travelling abroad, and wish to use a "pre-paid SIM"?

If you can't get one from Telus, you may be able to get one thru this Canadian site:

I'm interested but honestly with your low post count, no one vouching and dealing with you before I have suspicions. So I'll let couple of people use your services first and then get back to you when they are satisfied, before sending $600+ to someone I have no idea who he is. lol
Can't blame me, these days you can't trust anyone! ;)

Guys,

I understand your concerns.
I can ensure you that I am not a scammer.

I have a legitimate eBay account, maybe I can just post the eBay link ?
This way you would also get PayPal protection.
The fee would be more however, as eBay would charge me a selling fee.

Here is the link to my eBay account, you can research my selling habits here:
1
eBay My World - ryandsm

The address listed on my PayPal is the same as the one registered to my eBay account.
My PayPal account is verified, this should serve as a good reference :)

As for sending payment, although PayPal has fees, I think it would be the easiest.
Sending cheques in the mail is not very secure, and direct bank transfer also has its security issues.

What is the bottom line cost for you to get us the phone here in the states.
How do we arrange payment, and what timeline are we looking at for receiving it.

The phone will cost me $630 CAD.
My fee is $10 CAD
Shipping is up to the buyer as he will be paying for it. I can ship using what ever service he wants (fedex, ups, canada post ...etc)
The postal code I will be shipping from is: T2N1J3

I can buy the phone tomorrow and ship tomorrow evening if need be.

I think PayPal would be the easiest way to send payment.
But I am open to other ideas.

Here is an estimate of the expected total cost:
I will buy the phone and ship within 1 day of receiving payment.

Phone: $630 CAD
My Fee: $10
PayPal Fee: $20 - I am pretty sure they charge 2.9%
Shipping_1: $30 - using Canada Post XpressPost USA 4-5 business days
Shipping_2: $20 - using Canada Post Expedited Parcel USA 11-12 business days

Total_1: $690 CAD (~$660 USD)
Total_2: $680 CAD (~$650 USD)

Can you do anything lower, I mean I live right across the border and honestly have no problem setting something up, but Id rather get a lower price any way I can.

And you can always post up on Ebay, just make the shipping at 600 dollars to avoid paying the fees, then you will get more people giving you rep.

Ya look at ebay, they are selling for 650 US right now plus the 35 additional ship.
