Ok, so, as with many of you out there I was having battery life issues on my new Rezound. I posted a thread, read, and posted to others on here as well. After trying various suggestions, including buying an extended battery, by others I gained very little, if any, ground on the battery life. So, as a last resort, I took the phone in to exchange it since other ppl were doing this and it seemed to solve most ppls issue. I went down to the Verizon store and told the guy my story. He asks, "How long is your battery lasting?" I told him a little more than 5 hours with the extended batt. down to 10%15%(moderate usage, screen on low). He said that was great!! And I told him, no it wasn't! So, at that point he suggested an app call "Juice Defender". I went ahead and downloaded it and tole him I would give it a try for a few days. Well, to my surprise, it seems to have worked... I got 6.5 hours down to 13% with heavy usage(LOTS of texts, couple phone calls, some internet/social medial action and screen display on automatic with) on my extended battery. There is a screenshot below. So for those of you experiencing fast battery drain, I would try giving this app a shot. Not saying it will work for you but its worth a shot! Good luck!! :D

I can see that you have GPS on... I would turn that off unless you need it (the same goes for bluetooth). Your battery will greatly increase. I am guessing you are in a bad coverage area. I get 18 hours out of my standard battery (even then, when I turn my phone off, it is about 40%).

A guy at work turned me on to juice defender and it works pretty well and is easy. Im just on my third day and have been experimenting with settings. Putting it on "normal" power shuts 4g off and helps but something is still draining it while It's in standby. Thanks for the tip. With moderate use I was at 60% after 6 hours, yours seems to really be draining fast!

I do use my GPS often for locating places, social media check ins, and maps. I also use my bluetooth just about everytime i get in the car and at home sometimes... I'm all about hands free. As for coverage area, my home gets 4G no prob. but work and such is hit and miss... I should toggle it off when I leave the house I suppose. Thanks!!

It does seem to be goin kinda fast, however, in this example, I was using pretty heavy... pretty much constant texting. I am gonna try to put in "normal" mode when not at home. Thanks!

Are you all getting the free ap or paying for the good version of juice defender?

It is the free app... is the pay version worth it? Differences?

The social media can triangulate your location when checking in etc... I would only turn on GPS if you're using NAV.

I would recomend the same for bluetooth. You're leaving it on all day for only using it during your commute (1 hour max?). I would put a shortcut toggle on one of your home screens to easily toggle GPS and Bluetooth on so you can conserve battery life. These 2 things drain battery like crazy.

I thought I'd add a tip I found online. While the phone is off, charge your phone completely, unplug and turn it back on. Then shut it off and charge again. Repeat these steps a few times to "calibrate" the batterys charge. It seems to have helped, I think it more fully charges the battery. My results are subjective and you may not see the same results. I'm now seeing 10 hours on a charge but that's with minimal multimedia use, just texting, phone calls and some web browsing.

I'm an extreme light user of the phone (bunch of txts and so stock/emails checks)so I'm at 70% my 9 PM at night, from taking it off the charger at 7:30 in the morning.

The phone stays in performance mode and medium brightness (unless i need it outside). Bluetooth is on all day and i have nothing auto-sync. What i found to be the best battery saver is turning OFF background data (sure you need to periodically refresh email and whatnot) but i found it the best way to maintain the battery. I also close all webpages and use task manager to kill facebook and any other apps when im done using them.

I know that everyone's usage and signal strengths will differ but I easily got 12+ hours on the standard battery. Most days I was able to go from 6am to 8pm (sometimes 10pm or beyond) on the standard battery.
6.5 hours on the extended battery, I sincerely hope that you are talking constant use with the screen on the whole time. Otherwise I'd say you still have an issue.

Good luck

PS My TBolt is lasting much longer than that on the stock battery as well.
