ok so couple things i have a g1 and i have the open eclair rom with the neccesties spl radio blah blah apps are on sd blah blah.

1.everytime i change roms keeps getting stuck on g1 screen...y?(i wipe before i upload the new rom everytime)

2.the open eclair rom is sweet but its slow and laggy....am i missing something? thought it was super fast? any apps to help this?

3. open eclair has 2 gallerys? i cant c my pics?

any help is much apreciated and or links to the awnsers

Thought I'd try it too. It's not worth switching to Android 2 on the G1. Hardware sucks. Definitely looks good though. As soon as rooting Rogers latest SPL on MT3G becomes possible, mine will get Eclair.
Oh and BTW in your launcher do you have the option to close the app drawer (without pressing the back key)? I use an EBI1 kernel, so I suspect that might be causing problems with Launcher.

go u got rid of ur g1? n mines doing lil better now, has some nice features, but nothing like omg! what were you saying about the launcher you lost me

lol sorry I know I throw things so fast they hit in the nose :D
See this. You'll wish you were in Canada :p

So about my Launcher I had this Eclair rom. It had the N1 launcher, but it didn't work well for me. Inside the app drawer (the one you drag from down) the highlighting that appears when you click was displaced, and I could only close the app drawer by clicking back/home. One more issue was the Dialer. Every time I click menu (edit:in a call) I get a fc. The last issue I noticed, which is still there with another Eclair ROM, is videos can't play. It starts then freezes, only plays audio.

Do you have any of these issues? I think using an EBI1 port should be thanked for most what I've seen.

EDIT: I'm now using xROM. Still some issues, but better. It's much faster than the other one. No N1 launcher though. Spare Parts can make up for that :D

EDIT2: Forgot to mention I absolutely agree with you that there's nothing like omg. Multi-touch in maps is the only thing that I'm making use of. Before changing ROM I had to use Maverick.
