I've been running sholes 2.0.5 for the last couple days and while it was fast, it felt buggy. A lot of FCs and a couple of battery pulls. Petes Beast 7.6 is fast AND solid. Been running at 1200 for an hour now without one FC so far. It doesn't seem to be working with TempMonitor's CPU monitor though, I'm guessing that this isn't a supported kernal.

I'm having the same cpu monitor issue. According to the update log, it should work. I am trying to talk to Pete righ now about this.

So I've had Bugless Beast @ 800mhz, 950mhz, 1ghz and everytime I thought "hmmm... I think this is running faster". Now at 1.2ghz all I can say is "WOW!"

There is definitely a noticeable boost in speed here. Since its now running at more than twice the stock speed I finally caved and bought tempmonitor. This is gonna be a slippery slope now that I have my google checkout set up.

Only peeve so far is that the tempmonitor notification isn't readable in my notification bar because of the smoked glass. Knowing how quick Pete fixes these kinda things though it will probably just be a few days.

As soon as I have more cash Pete is getting a donation from me.

Just edit the color under preferences in temp monitor

this is really really cool! in a week or so, i will probably go back to beast 2.0.1, whichever version they are on then! so has anyone noticed maximum heat difference at 900, 1000 or 1200? i notice some at 800 when i am just refreshing my stuff and after a nandroid backup or update zip, but usually it is sooo chilled, like the back of the phone that is. any ideas?

is it hot? is it not? whats the risk?

Out of curiosity - I thought that I got my evilboot .IMGs from AllDRoid, but I cannot find them anymore for the life of me.

The OC boot images / Nandroid BUs that everyone is using - is it now Taz's instead?

Or are the evilboots still OK to use?

I think they took all the evilboot OC's down. I still have them if you need them. I think everyone switched to Taz's new kernels (I don't know who created the evilboot roms but that was the only ROM that was stable for me at 1GHz). Anyway, if you want them...PM me with an email address and I'll shoot them over.

I got them all too lol - I tend to be a packrat.... (well, assuming that the ones that were released were 800, 900, 950, 1000, & 1100)

Just to give you an idea, I still have stuff I downloaded when I was running windows 95b.

I had originally thought that the evilboot images *were* Taz's stuff, but now I am not so sure...

Downloads from way back then...are they done yet? I remember when 14.4K modems first came out...the speed was incredible! Haha! My first PC was a 486 DX2-66 with 4 MB HD that I upgraded to 8 MB! Wow those were the days.

So back on topic...I am going to go download this ROM as I too have seen FC's with Sholes 2.0.5. It ran really stable for two days but it seems the longer I have it...the worse it is getting. I'm at 1.2GHz so that could be the problem but I have had better success with Pete's stuff.

Question: Why do we have no files on this site? Seems we can't link to AllDroid but they have all of the files and here we have a better discussion forum. It would be nice not to have to bounce back and forth and I'm curious as to why???
