I wonder if Verizon will push it out to Dinc2 since the Incredible S is almost the exact same thing as what we got???

It would be up to HTC to release this to the Inc2 not just Verizon. If HTC doesn't release it there isn't anything Verizon can do.

Thank you for explaining that, I was unaware.

Now, with that being said, for the sole purpose of debate/conjecture: Why would hTC work on and waste their time and resources for an update for one phone model in the U.S.( that they already made for another almost exact same phone model; being the Incredible S) on the Verizon network for the carrier (VZW) just to not want to push it out for whatever reason. Seems like hTC would have to confirm that the carrier wants to support it's update, and where is Google in all that? If hTC comes out with an update for a phone model does the carrier it is on necessarily "have to" push it out to the device it is for? Can they refuse? I know Big Red is all about control given the fact that they blocked access to hTC sense .com and hTC hub on Dinc2. That comes already on the Incredible S. Oh yeah, not to mention, just try registering for xda on your Dinc2's stock browser and see what happens.

...We probably won't see it on VZW dinc2 now, I am starting to think.
FWIW, I am happy to see that hTC is still paying attention to these "old"phone models.

I'm more interested in ICS coming to the Inc2. Perhaps Sense 3 will be included with it, but having the latest OS seems important for long term security and compatibility. I don't believe HTC has said anything about ICS for the Inc2...?

Yes, I agree, I am also more interested in seeing Android 4.0 ICS on Dinc2.
I know that is a long way off & like you said they never even mentioned or stated that Dinc2 will even get it.
I thought maybe if we got this (Sense 3.0 update) before we possibly got ICS it would have been something real nice to hold is over until they announce when/if we will be able to load ICS.

Either way, they are probably both a long way off if possibly get either one...

I would love to root my phone, I rooted my eris and made it useable but I am scared to root my week old Dinc 2. *sigh*maybe later
