Welcome to Mikekelso421's AOSP Project.HOME of MetrogenMod 7.1

This is an AOSP rom i compiled myself and is my FIRST compiled from source rom.this is just cm7 with a couple things modified and it seems to run smoother with less FC's and my lockscreen is nice and smooth with no screen lag.try it out and let me know how it goes for ya.im running it on my evo now and its great! you will need Gapps as well,just like CM.

-MetrogenMod Rom- (Metropcs Flashed Evo's ONLY)
This is the same build as my other compiled cm7 rom but is configured to have MMS working RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX!! Simply "superwipe"+flash ROM+flash gapps+reboot!

These are my add-on zips,Flash awaY (these are not my work,just sharing for others to use)

Unvisible Tweaks (recommended)
GPS FIX (recommended if you want your GPS to work)
SUPERWIPE (wipes cache+system+boot+data x3 for clean wipe)
Gapps (google apps)
AmonRA Recovery (rename to PC36IMG.ZIP and flash through fastboot)

[I recommend a FULL WIPE before flashing this.If you choose not to wipe before flashing,please dont report any bugs or issues to me.i flashed and am running this now,everything is working.]

-Started from scratch.resynced the GB repo source

Thanks!!! Its good to get encouragement from somewhere.cuz lord knows my girlfriend doesn't care much about my new obsession. Lmao

But hopefully ill have some nice modz for it soon. But ill settle for seriously stable for the time being

I gave it a quick spin, it was pretty quick, are the unvisible tweaks the only real change from CM7 (other than the font)? It ran very smooth and fast though, and I got a solid result with antutu (2700+). I would be happy to spend some more time with it if there's anything specific you'd want tested.

its basically just a WIP..just posting it cuz it was for some reason better running on my phone than the original cm7..mainly the screen wake delay/not lighting up at all and FC amd Force reboots...i will be adding things here and there and updating the OP..just posting for others that may have had this issue.thanks for trying it though!

yea.i noticed Bloody pulled his old CM7 metro edition off his OP which was also CM7.0.3.1 based..so i compiled my own CM7.1 ROM and made a METRO-READY version...it actually runs smoother than the CM7 i got off of cyanogenmod.com..
i will be optimizing this ROM more this week.just kinda busy with my family atm.. but hopefully soon ill have a few metro-ready roms.im working on a 4.53 based Gingersense also,since i cant get it to work flashing bloodys scripts.

i just flashed this on my non activated evo, and i must say so far it is running like butter. i have not been on cm7 for awhile so it is hard to compare at the moment. but so far so good. no issues with anything. it looks great. keep up the great work.

Its the latest and greatest 2.3.7. Yea he also pulled the original 3.70 sense script he had to use on 3.70 based roms. I asked him about it and he said " who uses froyo anyways" lol.I'm sitting there thinking, your metrodroid rom is froyo...lol and the 3.70 script is the only one that I ever had work for me...ill probably upload that and put it in my all things metropcs thread. For others who may want it.

Amon RA is pretty much the standard among those who've been in the root community for any period time. Glad it worked out for you.

Once u go RA, you don't look back.lol although that twerp recovery would be super nice if it supported amend script. But I can't use alot of my scripts with that or clockwork mod.

Its called "gingerblur"..its a Droid 3 look-a-like. Probably one of my absolute favorite themes right now. Its on the market also for easy finding. Just search cm7 themes and you'll see it.

ok Sorry for the noob question. I have flashed roms before but what does this mean?

When I try to flash here is what i am getting
amend scripting (update-script) is no longer supported
amend scripting was deprecated by google in android 1.5

please switch to edify scripting (updater-script and update-binary) to create working update zip packages
installation aborted

i am currently using rom metrodroid 2.2
trying to flash your metrogenmod 7.1
