I have a Samsung Galaxy Gio gt-s5660m running on 2.3.4 firmware. I rooted it today and decided I didn't like it. It doesn't really do much. Anyways, I can't seem to unroot my phone now. I have no clue where to begin. I looked and some say to flash a stock ROM which I think means to install original firmware. Except I can't find the original firmware. I don't think I have it. So I'm kinda stuck here. I'm a new Android user and have basically 0 experience in this stuff.
I rooted my phone via http://androidforums.com/samsung-ga...0-ace-s5830-gio-s5660-pop-i559-fit-s5670.html where I downloaded the Universal GB Root and installed it. I have random stuff done like backing up everything and downloading Odin but I really don't know what to do...If anyone can help, it'd be appreciated.

Hi omegamoo. Try this i already tested on my phone and is working...apply the same way as you did for the rooting.

Yeah there's a new problem now. My phone won't start up. I'm not sure if it's caused by rooting and it seems bricked. Do you know whether this specific root (Universal GB Root) is known to cause problems? If not, it may just be that my software has failed. Although I'm reluctant to take it back to the retailer as the warranty is now void. If you are unsure thanks for the note, if I unbrick it, I'll makes sure to use your link.

Rooting can't cause any type of bricking, if you use some stock or custom rom via odin that is not compatible with your id of the motherboard then you can brick the phone. Shame that i didn't be able to apply you with the unroot method earlier so you can save your phone withouth flashing it to other firmware i was away three months from the forum. Just remember if your phone is under warranty delete any kind of stuff in the SD Micro card [make a format via adapter for the SD on the PC in FAT16] they won't be able to find any kind of trace. If your phone is hard bricked they will give you new phone in one week.
