Hello all,

Just bought this sprint samsung moment a few weeks ago, and I was wondering why I can't upload mobile pics from my phone to facebook. I have the facebook app on my phone and it does not seem to let me upload mobile pic's. In order for me to upload pic's I have to go to the mobile version of facebook and upload the pic via some email wich then post the pic for u, but the problem is it seems to post my pic's side ways.

I know lots of folks with other phones some of them crappy that just click on the photo and select upload to facebook....why can't I do that on this phone? Why does this phone not give me the option to upload from the pic? Why does the facebook app FOR android not let me upload photo's???

Please help thanks!

I was always under the impression with mobile and facebook that you had to set your facebook account up with your phone. If I remember right, been awhile, that you go onto your account and put your phone # in and it will generate a text message to your phone. After that you reply and that syncs your phone to your account. After all of this you will basically send an MMS (picture) text to that number and your pics will be posted on your wall. Also there will be an album created called "mobile uploads". Hope that helps. Like I said...its been awhile.

Here's what I did.

1) Go into photo and video places.
2) Set a new place. that place being fb of course.
3) Go into your gallery.
4) Menu, share, and voila, fb is there for you to share through.

It uploads the photo (maybe video too, I haven't checked) and it goes into your mobile folder. Hope this helps.

What do you mean go into photo and video places?? You meaning somewhere on the phone its self, or on facebook via my pc 1st?? Don't understand the 1st instruction.

I have the only facebook app that was for d/l from the market. I have that widget on my home screen on the phone which i use all the time to pull up fb, but I don't see any option when i have that pulled up to take a photo within that app....am I missing something???

The only way I have found to upload a pic to fb via my phone is to pull up the fb app, then go to bottom of screen and click fb mobile, then scroll to bottom of screen and click photo's, then at the top of the screen click upload photo, then it has a strange email address there on the screen which I click on which then opens up a email on my phone which i then can attach the photo and hit send. It normally doesn't take to long to send the email but this is a rather long process just to send a pic from my phone.

Thanks all for the great tips so far.

yes i mean on the phone itself. if we are talking about the same fb application that i have, that i downloaded from the market as well, then going into photo and video places then pressing add a new place should bring up the fb app that you downloaded (if of course you have the same app i have). Press it and it becomes a new place for you to share pics through.

Your right, I forgot about that option. You can upload videos this way as well but I think there is a size restriction (though I don't know what the limit is off the top of my head)

Oh man i finally figured out what you meant by photo and video place's rofl.....Awsome man thanks so much for the tip. Should I leave off the auto upload feature?? Seems like it will automaticaly upload any pic i take with my phone to FB with out me telling it to, and if that is true i don't want it to do that, i just want to be able to upload them when i want.

Thanks again.

If you take the memory card out of the phone and put it in your computer you can upload it to facebook from there. That is the only way I have been able to upload videos. For photos I can just go into the gallery, select a picture, hit share and fbook is one of the options. Or I just use the fbook app and click full site on the bottom and upload pictures that way.
