All of my music comes straight out of my iTunes library and into Google's cloud. I keep a very neat and ordered iTunes library which doesn't include any songs with BPMs or any composers or any of that just artist name, album name, genre, track number, disk number if applicable, year, and artwork. Everything else is unchecked in the boxes if you right click on any given song and select "Get Info". I only have like a few basic genres, no death metal and hardcore metal, just metal. So it's safe to say that my iTunes library is pretty consistent but I'm still having problems.
In Google Music, it will list one or more albums for one particular artist's one album. For instance, I have Tool's 10,000 Days album. It lists two albums that are identically named "10,000 Days". One of these albums carries 2 of the songs, "10,000 Days" and "the Pot" while the other lists the other songs from the album. This happens on many more albums and I really don't like it because I can't just go to albums and select an album to play and it play all of those songs from that one album.
Problem #2 in Google Music is that it shares album names. Many if not all artists have at least one "Greatest Hits" album that is named, well..."Greatest Hits". So it's weird because Ice Cube's Greatest Hits is in the same album as Marvin Gaye's Greatest Hits. If I am to go into albums and select "Greatest Hits", the one and only album listed, it will play songs from every artist that has an album named Greatest Hits in my library and lists them under Ice Cube as being the sole artist.
Does anyone know how I can fix this problem?
