I emailed that seller several days ago, asking why they are sold as refurbished items.

So confused. Found this mean that they are new or not? I want to order one, didn't realise it was from Hong Kong, probably Wont get here by Xmas now either.

Are they really good quality, look new? Work fine, as there are a lot of connections etc on the cover.

Cheers

I don't know the answer, but I have a suspicion that they're a non genuine copy. I may be wrong though.

So what is the quality life please, the one you got from that seller? Did it look a genuine part? How does it compare to the original back one? All parts and connections in the sane place and decent quality? I take it calls etc are ok with it on? It doesn't get any more warm etc when using it?

my cover arrived from hong kong within 4 days by UPS, not bad...
as for quality... it is a genuine HTC part, the numbers moulded on the plastic inside match. the machine marks in the aluminium are the same as on the case fitted to my phone,,,everything is the same, call quality, wifi, battery life.....
as it says on the advert, OEM......accept it

Nice one. I've got a white XE and have already in the space of a week chipped the white plastic next to the usb socket.

I'm not going to replace the cover just yet as it hardly notices but it's good to know that a whole new back isn't too expensive for if it has any more mishaps.

I went with a clear silicon type case from Amazon and am pleased with the look and feel of the phone. I may ditch the case now I know I can replace the back without too much trouble :D

Loving this phone and can't wait for the ICS update in the new year. I've installed so many apps and games and no sign of the dreaded "out of space" icon that I saw continuously on my now retired Desire.

Oh so it's chipped already. Is this a fault of the cover or ou dropping it?

I've removed mine from a case now, because as you say, it's easy to buy and replace and in general I hate cases as they just add bulk. Currently use the HTC official slip case.

Hi,

Yep the case chipped when I went to plug the charger in. It hardly notices but still a bit annoyed. No drops so far. I've been looking for a cheap insurance policy for the phone but they're all so expensive at around

It shouldn't really chip though that easily should it? Was yours an officially bought white xe? Was this bought in a UK store?

Just buy another battery cover, black are cheap to.

Don't know about if yours is an official white XE, but my OEM one is really slippy, to hold in hand, and in case, compared to black one theres defo a difference. I have to be careful en if it in hand, anyone else?

You wouldn't have thought so would you but yeah it chipped really easily. I bought mine online and was delivered from HK. I don't think UK stores have white XE's yet from what I've seen. All correct packaging, ibeats headphones etc so is proper OEM.

Yes the phone without a case is mega slippy and would no doubt get dropped a bit by all but the most careful person.

I'm looking for cheap insurance for the phone but I'm having the problem that because I did not get a VAT receipt some won't insure it which wasn't something I foresaw as an issue.

Hi,

I have a sim free white sensation xe.

It was bought from a shop in hong kong. It came bundled with 8gb card not the standard 16gb in the uk. The headphones were the black and red scheme not white like the picture on the box. I was also bundled a screen protector film thing and a spare 1700mah battery with charger (non Htc).

I don't have a problem with it being sloppy but that could just be my sweaty hands. :)
