Help App to speed up battery charge time??

Could also be an issue with the battery, or even a rogue app that's using WAY more juice than it should. Might wanna try something like Watchdog apps to monitor app usage to see if something is running that shouldn't be (and that would be a LOT).

The Stock vs Rezound battery question, is because the new HTC Rezound has a battery that will also fit in the Thunderbolt, and many people have bought that battery to use instead of the original TBolt one, since the battery from the Rezound is a slightly higher capacity battery. Unless you've knowingly bought one, then you have the stock battery. Another way to check, is to just look. The battery for the Rezound is red, the stock Bolt one is black.

Ill bet your battery is f'd..

I'd take your phone to a store and tell them what's happening and they should swap out your battery no charge.

I'd be surprised if an app were the cause, but an easy way to tell would be to charge the phone with it turned off and see if it charges faster. Should be less than 2hrs dead to full.

If it charges normally with the phone off, report back and we'll see if we can narrow down an app that may be causing it.

What charger are you using and how long is the cable? Are you using the stock HTC wall adaptor/3' USB cable that came with the Thunderbolt or are you using something else?

At home, I found that with a 6' USB cable I had laying around, paired with any OEM charger (ie. Motorola or HTC), the actual amount of current going to the phone dropped down to almost a trickle.

I've been using an after market charger that I bought because my phone was almost dead at work. It has a 4 foot USB cable and the brand is qmadix. I got it from a VZW kiosk (owned by diamond wireless). I know 3 feet to 4 feet isn't much of a difference but charge times are consistent and so is the voltage.

What happened when you charged with the phone off?

Still just as long?

I haven't charged my phone off with the after market charger. I've got the extended so I just use it throughout the day and charge at night.

Well like I said before, an easy way to tell if its the battery or a rogue app, would be charging with the phone off. If it charges in a couple hours, batteries fine, if it still takes hours, get a new battery.

Also, I have a cheap aftermarket dock I use to charge spare batteries and it takes a LONG time to charge. 5hrs or so for the standard size battery, so could be a combo of those things.

If you want to narrow it down you're going to have to do some troubleshooting.

Sorry, I'm not the OP. I was just posting. Haha.
