Help Phone not ringing or displaying missed calls

Hi All
I've had my ZTE Warp for a little over a month, had no problems until recently and just wondering if anyone else has had similar issues?

Lately my phone has not been ringing when some calls come in. It isn't all calls and it isn't all the time but it seems to be happening more. What is also odd is that when my phone doesn't ring and a voicemail is left it doesn't even show up as a missed call at all.

I've also noticed that my 3g and signal bars will often be white and reception is not something that I have ever had an issue with at all before with Boost.

This is troubling to me because I am missing some fairly important calls and this NEVER happened with my Prevail.

Some things I have done since realizing my phone often doesn't ring etc are..pulled the battery while the phone is powered on..reset my profile and prl and none of this has made any difference.

Any ideas??

TIA,
Bren

Do you shut down your phone often? Try pulling the battery out for a couple of minutes to see if it will reset.

I'm glad I am not the only one with this issue. I went back to a stock Public Mobile ROM and the issue happens a lot less now but if my phone is left alone for about 2 hours it might stop reacting to calls and sms again, so I have to check it periodically just incase. Hope they come up with a patch for this one day. :(

As I posted , I was having a problem where I couldn't call my mom whenever I tried to call her. It would ring once and then go to voicemail. She could call me with no problem.

I ended up factory restoring and reflashing the rom I had (noob) and that problem went away. So many you might want to try the same and see if that works?

It's a sneaky problem with the warp... it always comes back after a while... the trick is to wipe dalvik once a week... and to be specific, the problem happens about a minute after the screen is turned off when the phone enters "deep sleep"

Exactly, I wipe my dalvik at least once a week and it seems to fix the issue......:D

I must first deeply thank smartmanvartan, I already lost count how many time I consulted your post as an anonymous user (from waaaayy back when I was rooting the Zte n762). Moreover, I would live in a very unhappy world if my zte n860 were not rooted and equiped with the best rom ever, that is without doubt the super cool Voltron OC. You Are a miracle by god :D

(...) about a minute after the screen is turned off when the phone enters "deep sleep" (...)

After googling Deep Sleep Android I found the following solution:
Disable the deep sleep as indicated by smartmanvartan, with an app such as the free "Wake My Android Pro Edition by Gejos". I set the software to ping my phone each 29 seconds after the screen turns off.

Good luck!

I've been using this angle to try to get Public Mobile to put in the order for ICS or JB with ZTE.. I even emailed the CEO with this email...:

Hello Mr. Krstajic.

My name is Vartan and I am a loyal customer of your company. I loved the no nonsense concept of your company and that is why I joined Public Mobile. I have purchased all of your Android models at one time or an other and have also had the BUZZ and the Kyocera G2GO prior to switching to Android. The ZTE N860 is a great phone. It is the Luxury model for Public Mobile and it has the highest price tag. Yet it has a fundamental flaw... It has a major issue that prevents it from receiving calls and texts while in deep sleep. Deep sleep occurs about 2 minutes after the screen is turned off. I'm aware you are releasing the N861 soon and as far as I know you will be releasing it with ICS(Android version 4.0). The N861 already has JB(Android version 4.1) in the US. I think you should postpone the relase of the N861 and release it with JB and furthermore you should get ZTE to provide you with a ICS update for the N860. The ICS update will force ZTE to rewrite the faulty code instead of just patching it and will provide a form of compensation for customers like myself who have given a lot to Public and have had a year of missed calls and delayed texts. You know I have called customer service multiple times because of this issue and have had some of your customer service representatives just flat out lie to me about the existence of the issue in question. This shouldn't happen. I bought this phone for 249.99 the day it was released and a telephone that has an issue of this nature mandates a full refund of a upgrade to a better phone(which you don't have at the moment).

Help your N860 users continue to have faith in our company.

Sincerely, Vartan M.

I got dialog with them now... I don't think it's gonna get us ICS or JB but the new b09 update the ZTE test team is testing is testing might actually do the trick... lets keep our fingers crossed..
