Well, I'm still up in Canada so have not had a chance to pick up my GN. But I live vicariously through all you loungers in the "Official Post-Release BB Watering Hole." I guess you are my guinea pigs while VZW tinkers with how to display bars

Here's a question. Are any of you on Exchange for e-mail? How is the native ICS Exchange app? Does it work better than Froyo? I am still on my DX and had to bail on the native email app in favor of Touchdown. Still, Touchdown is not as robust as the BB email - that's Blackberry, not Baby Blues ;)

I miss tapping and holding a sender's name or subject to automatically search all emails from that sender or subject.

Do you notice any improvements in email with ICS?

And those of you with "reception" issues, has it affected your email performance? I live and die by email these days, so email functionality is critical for me.

Thanks for your feedback!

Hope you all have a great holiday with friends/family.

Pretty chilly up here. Golf course and lakes are frozen over:

i think it only communicates with others through the app right? i guess what im really looking for is something that would take the texts she would normally get on her phone and mirror/forward them to her fire

is google voice available on the Fire? it would be a pretty easy solution, if so.

edit: ninja'd by 2 seconds!

Just to point out we GNex people aren't the only ones who get fooled with on release slips. Atleast this D4 was never actually announce by VZW!

I guess this kinda undermines all of those conspiracy theories about how the Nexus was delayed so Verizon could focus on the Droid line. See, it happens to Droids too...

Back from the Verizon store. At first I think the rep thought I was crazy, because the dark spot on the screen was very subtle. But eventually he said "Yeah, I see it," and went back to the stockroom to get a fresh new Nexus for me. Pretty painless swap.

It felt kind of strange coming out -- like the new phone was an impostor just pretending to be my phone. But once I'm done rooting and restoring everything, I'm sure it will feel like mine again!

Oh, and the screen seems to be fine. I keep telling myself that the chances I'd get *two* bad phones are minuscule ... and then I remember that Han had to go back twice ...

Exchange works seamlessly with the stock email app. No touchdown needed.

Except it's all together possible this is ALL Motorola. Fact they showed it off really means nothing as they did the same with Bionic. Latest renders suggest a different design just as the Bionic ended up also. The renders that leaked that include the back instead of front looks like a thicker phone that might have replaceable battery and the screen frame looks more squared of like D3 rather than the razr look which could suggest effort to squeeze in a bigger screen since it was probably gonna have a huge bezel and smaller screen like RAZR. We'll see, but I'm not ready to blame VZW on this one yet.

Tried to use wallet app at McDonalds today but I think the registers paypass was broken. App kept trying to send payment but machine wouldn't receive it. The clerk was tripping out while I was doing it though. Pretty cool.

It could have been the machine but when I was at 7-11 I discovered that if you don't keep the phone by the pay pass until it says "sent" then it will fail
