* Save criteria for future searches - in the background the app will use your product watchlist and notify you when an item price meets your price or a date occurs.
* Browse, filter products by price
* View product details with sale pricing
* Share products description and detail URL with friends
* Great performance, searches 1,000's of online sources quickly, usually <5 seconds
* Stores & categories added weekly

The application is free to download, you can check it here **Link Removed**

Not a florist app - sheesh - horticulture app.

I just ran into your thread. We've been working on that app for nearly a year now. if you'd like, I can have you join as one of the beta testers. it'll be for iPhones to begin with.
It's a complete experience around nature, the recognition feature is a major one, but not the only one.

Cheers.

My neighbor's son has an app as described on his phone, but I have not had a chance to talk to him yet. It may be an iphone. Hope to get a link, since I would really like to have it. It would be the first app I am willing to pay for! I would appreciate it if the developer above would contact me, either if it is finished, or if they still need beta testers.

If you have any news or word on this app, my sister is a Master Gardner & is very interested. She's heard of such an app and would very much like it..

I think you meant "developed" rather than "found", didn't you? ;)
Please be honest with our members when suggesting your own apps - they appreciate it.

Actually -- I haven't developed the app (my friend did). But, you are right -- I'm involved my work is the server backend. So, please accept my apology. At first thought that my "conflict of interest" doesn't matter.

This app doesn't actually identify flowers, it simply uploads the image to a team of "experts" who then google the image and make a best effort match and return the results at a later date. This whole concept is wide open for abuse...
You are wrong. No offence, but -- try it by yourself. Just take a picture of some flower and try to google it. It just does not work.

Tell me what is better authority for flower recognition than PhD students of Botany?
Tell me what kind of abuse do you mean? The only abused person I can see is the botanist abused by tons of image recognition requests answering them for free.
