Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Good Morning Gnexers! :D

I hope you all had a great winter solsti-Christma-kwaanz-ukkah, and now I've had a chance to play with Nexus in a remote, 3G-only area. And I found some "issues":

Signal strength sucks out loud. The Droids in the house had 2 bars of signal and 3G data in the house... I had to go out to the front porch to find a microscopic dot of signal to surf or make calls. Radio needs updated BADLY.

3G to 4G switching is rough. Had to switch in and out of Airplane mode to get data to restore.

But OOOH, it was awfully nice to come home to 4G! Here are some speed tests I ran in both data modes:

3G: 1698 DL 824 UL
4G: 29778 DL 19351 UL!

Two posts in a row but this one is important to me:

I accidentally uploaded some albums that I bought on Amazon and cannot STAND. Now that it's up there, I can't find a way to remove it... so it's all stuck in my shuffle rotation!

Has anyone here found a way to delete stuff from Google Music?

I had almost the exact same issue... I have unchecked music in my iTunes library - stuff that I don't listen to and isn't on my iPod but don't want deleted completely from my library - and Google Music uploaded everything. Once it was done uploading, I cleaned out what I didn't want as follows:

1. Open Google Music
2. Click on the album you want to delete
3. Highlight all of the songs you want to delete (all of them if you want to delete entire albums)
4. Press Delete on your keyboard (there's no Delete buttons on the website, nor any right-click options)
5. The songs will delete and after a few seconds, take you back to your library

That's what worked for me. It's the long way, and not glamorous, but effective. Hope this helps!

I finally figured out how to get a picture to set as a wallpaper with no cropping at full resolution!

Get Wallpaper Wizardrii from the market (it's free), open the picture on it, click "set", and then "exact". You can choose scroll or no scroll as well.

Nice!

Edit: The original picture does have to be bigger than 1440x1280 to scale without black bars on the top and bottom, though.

Edit 2: Never mind. Still won't all fit on one screen. What the frak!!

Does anyone else use GetJar for apps? I've gotten a lot of good apps for free thru them (including Beautiful Widgets). Call me crazy, I will happily shell out $500-$700 on my Nexuses/Nexii but I hate the idea of paying for apps. I don't pirate apps, I just look for free alternatives or things like GetJar, Amazon app of the day, ...

Amazon App of the Day is fine. GetJar is considered a piracy site - posts deleted and cleaned, no infractions.

For some odd reason I am having a problem getting my Verizon email account to work. When I go to check my email, it just sits there saying "Waiting for sync".

It worked before and to add to this. It will not let me get in to the settings for this account while it is trying to sync.
I will use K9 mail for now, until I figure this out.
