2 questions actually...

how do i get wifi tethering? and how do i get my keyboard to vibrate when i press a letter(virtual keyboard) i went into my settings and set them as they are suppose to and still not doing it. any ideas?

Gonna test it out here in a bit - I just tried to install it from the Nandroid backup but it failed with an error code 25 - so gonna re-download it and see if I can get it working.

feh - didn't realize that the .zip of the Nandroid had a folder inside - so extracted it to a folder named same as the .ZIP, copied it over to my sdcard and went to install - and keep getting an error 25. Now using ADB to push the files over - hope it works....

lol - the trouble I get into for not looking at things carefully....

ok so i seemed to have found the fix for the vibrating keyboard...i unchecked the "swype" box in the keyboard options. gave me my old keyboard back. not as cool looking but im used to it so i like it.

now if anyone just knows how to get the wifi tethering option on here thatd be swell!

I thought that the WiFi tethering option was simply an .APK that you download right under where you got the ROMs from....

i got the roms from the info pane on his youtube video...im guna go back to this ROM. if anyone knows how i can get wifi tethering on there and can give me a short walk thru id greatly appreciate it! please and thank you

the kernel of the smoked Glass 4.5 supports wifi tethering already, all you have to do is go to the link on the alldroid.org smoked glass rom website and dl the apk and install via astro, then your good to go

Think so - but these other .APKs are normal App DL's - like the ConnectBot SVN DL from Google Code, etc. - those install normally.

My guess is that this will work the same way.

ok so i looked on my sd card and didnt see any backups/app so i thought id just download the file on the phone itself thru the browser and see what happens. i have astro installed. but it still tells me the content is not supported on this phone. what am i doing wrong!?

i don't have Astro, but i do have ES file explorer, with ES i simply long press on the filename and one of the options is to rename the file. simply delete the .zip portion of the filename. after you do that just short press the file name and it'll prompt you to install it. then you're done.

Tap the file - select edit - select rename - rename the file so you remove the .ZIP at the end.

astro will do it. if you have that, then just use it. there is no real way to screw anything up. if you've gotten this far i think you can easily get this going.

bingo! it worked. now how do i get it to be on the phone so i can use it? it showed up with the tethering icon but what folder does it need to be placed in?

it doesn't need to be placed anywhere. just press it again and it'll install.
