Help phone audio quality

Welcome to the forums, Heather.

I'm not aware of a known audio issue with the Galaxy S2 (there could be such an issue, though), so I'm led to think that you may find the audio quality problem is carrier induced. That is, T-Mobile towers may be at fault at least temporarily.

Others with that device will chime in, but meanwhile I'm thinking that you may want to first try shutting the phone down, then powering back up, then make a call to see if the situation has improved.

No problems like that here in Boston MA so far. (I really should update my member profile). Frisco has given you some sound advice. (Pardon the Pun ). Powering down all the way will not cause you to lose any data or programs and it is a great first step for just about every type of phones problems.

By any chance do you have a case on the phone that is perhaps blocking the mic, or is your hand covering it when you hold the phone? I haven't had a problem with that, or heard it from my friend when he calls me on his GS2. Let us know how it's going.

As oldschoolwax says, could be case, or how you hold it. It is most likely the service provider though, possibly poor signal due to where you were, possibly the building you were in when the call was made (basement, or cement construction building.

The only audio issue this phone has is ear piece low volume, but the quality is good.
