Galaxy Nexus Watering Hole

Speaking of losing weight, I plan on starting P90X again next week.

Finished it once then did 30 days of Insanity, but I have been slacking big time. Hoping to get back into shape and hate going to the gym around the new year since its extremely crowded with everyone trying to lose weight / stay in shape.

P90X is a great program but I need motivation to get it done again.

I wish I didn't get so bored tracking points after a while. Weight Watchers is a great program, but I cook dinners mostly from scratch, and calculating points for each recipe, and measuring out portion sizes just got too time consuming each night. And the kids didn't like most of the recipes on their site. I lost 16 pounds in the 2 months I did it though.

I ended up finding things close and then adding a couple points cause I refuse to use fake sweeteners and skim milk. I know what you mean though.
This time I think I'm going to try to stay close to my point range but not go nuts. I know the stuff that's not so good for me but I won't stress if I'm going over my points. I know between being aware of what I'm eating and exercising I'll do much better.
I was not happy to step on the scale this morning though.
But I know I can take it off .....again. :D

I lost 52 lbs. in 6 months on Weight Watchers (went from 247 to 195) without a bit of exercise. It works but it's a lifestyle change as I've gained most - but thankfully not all - of it back. I found that even at 40, if I exercise 3-4 times a week I can still eat/drink what I want in moderation and not have to count Points. Just have to get back on that bike and ride!

Most of that crowd is gone by March :) That's OK though, they still pay for a full year - lets us get nice equipment and have lots of classes for the club members that use it year round.

Anyone need tips feel free to PM me, I'm a certified fitness trainer, cycle, bootcamp and TRX instructor. I have 3-4 certs in nutrition as well.

Oh man you are going to be very valuable once I start P90X then -- glad you are willing to help though. :p

Speaking of, what is your opinion of the P90X and Insanity Workout programs?

At the end of the day the best program out there is the one you'll do.

The workout portion of P90x is great for many people, but think it's a bit over-the-top for others. If you are comfortable with the moves & schedule then go for it.

The diet portion is awesome, if you follow that 100% and do 1/2 the workouts you will succeed.

I have not reviewed Insanity from start to finish so I really can't comment on it.

Wow, impressive, lots of great looking features. I note that it's on 4.0.3 - did we ever figure out if Netflix HD works with that version yet? Also, I see two potentially worrying bugs. The first is data drops attributed to old modems (ie. KK1), is that something I need to be worried about? Truthfully, I've got no idea what KK1 means. Also, the PowerSaver function reportedly has a few instability issues with CDMA devices - can anyone who uses this ROM attest to the effectiveness, both PowerSaver and overall?

Hans could tell you if Netflix works with this ROM. I don't use it so wouldn't know. I don't know what KK1 is either sorry. I don't have any issues with this ROM except trying to write and read NFC tags. It's much better than stock imo

The Power Saver feature is something that has been experimental. The developer has a GSM Nexus not a CDMA like ours so he is still working on implementing it for VZ users. Don't use it :)

My battery life is great on the stock kernel the ROM comes with, and superb on the kernel I use (imoseyons 1.2.1).

Hi fellow Gnexers!

I need your help.

I'm looking for a good video chat app. My daughter just picked up a Stratosphere (with a front-facing camera) so I'm itching to try out the face-to-face video conferencing.

I have Google+ but can't find video hangout on the Android app. Any suggestions?

What about Skype or Tango?

yep, same with nutrition, which is 80% of fatloss. I personally like this guys methods: The Leangains Guide | Intermittent fasting diet for fat loss, muscle gain and health but you really can make almost any diet work.

Try Messenger in the App Tray (installs with Google+) -- I believe that is where you initiate Hangouts from.
