Root Stock ROM for the Breakout

I have a Pantech Breakout that I rooted manually using zergrush. Everything was running fine.....

Now it gets stuck in the sound initialization stage of boot.

So if someone could do a nandroid backup of MTD:Boot and MTD:System and post those images, I would greatly appreciate it.

Or some other img dump... either compatible with the custom recovery posted here or compatible with fastboot.

I much appreciate your timely help. Thank you

This just perpetually repeats, preventing bootup.

Come on.... Someone out there must have a boot.img and system.img

I've very handicapped with my phone out of order. So please, if you have those files for the Pantech Breakout, post them.

Hey Amanda, my wife has a Breakout and I can see if I can pull them if you would like. I also started developing a Clockwork Mod Recovery for the Breakout, but don't know what kind of interest there is for this phone. If you still need it just let me know!!!

Hey MTM, I could use the stock recovery image also. I made a recovery backup before i rooted with SuperOneClick and the Zergs. I saved the image on my HD of my desktop.,,about a week ago, that HD died. Last night, I began having problems with the phone. Something is wrong with the google modules. I can't access the market via the widget. I can't access my gmail from it, or my contacts. Any time I try any of these, I get an error code, or just a white screen flash, and back to home screen.

I am hoping that a stock recovery can fix all this. i am a noob at this, so I need to know what program would be best used to restore it,as well.

Thanks,
Andrew

just a heads up i have an entire backup of the system that i made right before i rooted the breakout on my sd card made by the stock recovery..if someone knows how to convert it to be flashed i would be more than happy to post a download link for it...and this may sound dumb but i removed backup assistant after rooting my breakout...long story short i did a factory wipe on the phone and now i cant get past the setup because it says i do not have backup assistant installed..does anyone know how i can reinstall it or at least bypass the setup? thank you for all that view and reply

copy the backup image to your computer, and try to reinstall in through fastboot mode, maybe?

If you can get us a copy, one of us can figure it out.

its not an img file its just a folder with the all the system files...and unfortunately im not very proficient with fastboot, its not something ive ever really had to use but i will be more than happy to upload the files for you guys and hopefully you can figure it out, i just need to figure out how to install backup assistant so that i can get past the setup on my phone..eh...ok off to megaupload to create an account and upload the files..will post a link as soon as i can...at work right now...

Just out of curiosity, how did you root? SuperOneClick? You might be able to root it again and get past your troubles, giving you the chance to reinstall backup assistant.

ok guys just got done uploading the backup of the system to mega upload should be around 600 mb, it is a img file but i would not reccomend trying to flash it, i only created it as a img file so i could upload it in one go... heres the link
b_systemi.iso
609.6 MB
www.megaupload.com/?d=8SLQ4G7Q

you will need to extract the files from the img file, hopefully it helps

i did use superoneclick and to tell you the truth i believe it is still rooted, the only thing i did was a system wipe....so it should still have the root...the problem lies within the setup, unfortunately it will not let me get past the setup screen...hard to explain..i found a somewhat bypass which allows me to access the web browser but i cant get the internet to work...if only i could get that working i could just side load the apk file and be done with it lol...alas things arent that simple for me...

Yeah, but from there, I have no idea what to do. Probably best if I just pay off my verizon contract and get a boost mobile phone...lol If I do, It will remain stock. I have screwed this one up to where all I can do is get into fastboot mode, or if I try to just power it on, it freezes on the boot screen.

Give me a little time to finish a Rom I'm building on another phone and I will see what I can do for you. Do you have the amon ra recovery already?
