how do you like AOKP 15? i've been content with 14 so far. seems like the additional toggles are what may drive me to update, but otherwise i am resisting the urge to flash. i'm actually UC to 920 with LeanKernel and i honestly can't imagine wanting/needing to go faster. but then again i don't play games.

i like the centered clock cuz it's easy to get lost with several notifications battery/signal/mail/texts/TiBU/etc

Haven't seen a ton of changes, but I really like stock ICS with a couple tweaks. One thing I did notice is while I was at lunch and surfing the web for a couple hours, my battery completely tanked from full to nearly 50%. I'll try out a new kernel and perhaps some different SetCPU settings to see if I can manage any better. A little dissapointing though :(

Just a general question for all you out there:
If you're using a case (I'm currently on a Rev. 3 Diztronic, but have a couple different TPU ones on the way), what if any cradles/car mounts work with them? My wife has my old Bionic and is the primary car driver so we'll likely just get a mount for it, but curious if any docks work with small cases like the Diztronic. (and by the way, it seems great so far)

What kernel are those of you on aokp using?

LeanKernel v1.3.0 UC to 920MHz - I stream GMusic maybe a couple times a week on WiFi, and play no games. All is smooth and I can easily get 14hrs of use. Extremely happy with that. I don't get those results at work while gnex is scraping by at -120dBm on 3G (no 4G at my desk :(). Normal use for me with a couple downloads (apps, boot ani), general email, light browsing, and twitter... i'm at 60% 6hrs into the day. I'll take that.

Supposedly the verizon car cradle works but hardly anyone actually likes it. It doesn't use the pogo pins and the wires supposedly get in the way. Lots of people are waiting for a GSM version of the car dock for the gnex.

agreed. esp if i have a weak signal, i have literally watched my battery drop 10% in about 5 or 6 mins.

a lot of the devs (and threads) suggest using the kernel for more than a day to allow "calibration" of sorts before really switching over. with how quickly they push stuff out nowadays it's hard to fight the itch!

If you are "creating task" it shouldn't do a second read on one tag like you said it was doing. "creating profile" does this though.

Maybe try changing the order of the tasks you create? idk.

Which tasks exactly are you using for a tag and I'll try to re-create it here and see what I get. I just tried a 2 task tag (car home and Pandora) and both opened right up, Pandora first and started streaming my music, then I hit home button and it went straight to car home so car home was opened but not showing as Pandora app was at the forefront so-to-speak

Well, this is frustrating. I know exactly what you're saying, and even backed out of the running app, to see if anything was running behind it. Nope! I checked on several different tags. Same thing. I read the tags on another app, and the data was all there (all 3 apps.) So, I uninstalled the NFC app, installed Tasker (since, if you want to run tasker tasks, you have to install Tasker first), and then reinstalled NFC Launcher.

Then, it wouldn't even write a tag at all! I finally got another NFC writing app to write a tag, then NFC Launcher worked again. Trying on all different tags, it finally started working! At least I got 2 apps to run - Pandora (first), then if I back out of it, it loads the Car Home app. It wasn't doing that earlier. I had emailed the dev, and he's "looking in to it" so we'll see.

This is still WAY cool...lol. I wish I could get the nav app to run, but maybe with some time/updates, it'll work.

One thing I noticed, if I just created a new tag from scratch, when it would try to run that tag/apps, the item in the notification bar says something like "applied (then lists the various apps)." However, when I created a tag, saved it (i.e. "Car Dock"), it would say "Applied Profile Car Dock" in the notification bar (even though it's not a profile...just a saved tag). It acts like it doesn't read all of the apps if it's not a saved tag maybe?

On a side note, what bedside app do people use? I'll be putting a tag on a bedside dock that we are making, hopefully for production (more on that later.) I'd love one with clock, weather, emails, etc.

What kernel are those of you on aokp using?

I'm on Lean 1.4.0 by imoseyon atm. But any of his versions are great improvements in battery life over the stock kernel that comes with aokp. Roman uses this stock kernel for compatibility/stability purposes.

They come with Interactive as the default governor, much more responsive/snappy than OnDemand. That was not the case on GB and FROYO, but the game has changed with ICS and the latest iterations of the Interactive governor. OnDemand is sputtery/laggy for me on any kernel.

Also, the Interactive gov on imoseyons kernels has built in screen off profile, creating profiles for screen off only hampers battery life from what I've been reading.

InteractiveX governor is what I've been using the most you can change this with SetCPU. The "X" is a hybrid governor that utilizes the hotplug feature and disables one of the cpu's when screen is off. It's nice you ought to try it.

I also have the Diz R3 case, and it works great with this dock. It is stable, doesn't bounce around, and you can still get to the volume and power buttons while it's docked. I run the audio cable to the phone first, and run the power cable through the hole in the bottom before I dock it, plug them in, dock the phone, and voila!

Now that I have my NFC tag MOSTLY working, I'm as happy as a fat pig the day after Christmas!

Wild. What ROM are you on? If your on stock 4.0.2, NFC write/read issues have been fixed in 4.0.3 ROMS.

It said "Applied Profile Car Dock" because you saved that tag as a profile. You can turn off notifications if you'd like.

I'm using the stock clock app but would also love to find a nice clock/weather/emails/etc... app for docking by the bedside. Am interested in your dock let us know!

That looks like an awesome mount! Best of all, it'll work with both our phones and since she drives a Honda Fit, windshield space is limited and this will be great.
Love the fact they use the CD drive as a mount. I mean, does anyone actually play CDs anymore? :p:)

Well since our old car was broken into and all my CDs and her CD player were stolen, I've never bought a cd! (sad since a lot were small indie bands that no one has heard of and hard to replace). But, this should be much easier to plug into the Aux port and car charger than the old mount we had for our Droids. I'll have to take a look at the dash and make sure it wouldn't block up all the controls for the radio though.
