Just a shout to developers and users.

Coming from Palm DateBk3,6 etc.... The droid Calendar app and the ones on the "market" are in the stone ages.
I've been getting WAAAY more functionality out of a 3+ year old product using WAAAY lest dpi.
I returned the WinMo MotoQ 2 years ago because the calendar was such a Dog.

So what the heck is/are Droid/developers waiting for?

The potential calendar functionality with modern resolution and prcessing is phenomonal. I love the sync Cal ability, can't wait to get my wife online. But the UI is a dog. Slow. No way to quickly zip through mutiple custom views of the info you want.

And also pay attention: anyone who replies the stock "I love my droid, therefore droid can do no wrong!" reply PLEASE go use Datebk6 so you can realize your positive comments are misleading to google making progress. MHO: users have little idea what They're missing. People expect and support crap because that's all they've given.

Finally....some progress......:thinking::thinking:

Perhaps those of us who used Palm are spoiled because we had the easiest UI.

Amen Brutha! (or Sista)

I'm a firm beliver that the ultra-hyped marketing for planned and percieved
obsolescence is behind it. Companies will put any crap on the market that they calculate not enough people will complain about to cost them profit. It's the ugly side of capitalism. (The cool side is all this rockin' inovation).

If enough people actully realize what they are missing we'd get somewhere.

I mean, all we're asking here is that Google (massive company that may one day own Bill Gates ) program some technology that's been around since these freakin devices were not even cell phones.

Come-on Developers! CAN YOU HEAR THAT SOUND? That's the free market calling you. There is a legion of people abandoning the Palm platform waiting for you to fiddle around with DateBooK6 and realize you could be making Money. $$$$$$$$$$ And just think of all the App money when all these WinMo/Android zealots figure out that they can get a better calendar........$$$$$$$$$$$$$:cool::D

Custom views, Minimize clicks to see and schedule appointments.
My Money is waaaaaaaiting.

The problem with both of those widgets for me is that neither work with corporate calenders. I installed and tried both and they both only pull from gmail calender, which is worthless to me

You are wrong. Pure calendar works fine with Droid Corporate calendar.

I think I'll launch a full PIM application in few weeks. Have a look here to expose your requirements :
PIM app : Koxx Agenda - Android Central Forums

Companies had difficulties to understand Android potential, but also, there is a big part of free apps on the market which cover a big part of needs, it's VERY difficult for a company to have a good ROI on Android Market.
