Help Battery savers

Since the LG Esteem doesn't have the best battery life out there. I was considering using a battery saving app. I wonder though and I have q couple of questions: do they really work? or do they mess up your phone?

Well to be honest. I tried bunch of them. They "did" something at first but then nothing and eventually those app started using the phone's resources and messing with them.(you don't went that)

Now, the ONLY one that i have been using is easy battery saver (compatible). I used the original version but as many people i was having 4g issues sooooo i tried the compatible version and so far is working well. It really changes most things to make the phone last longer.

But get in mind that battery saver apps will not increase the mavs or make the battery bigger lol. They technically disables settings to make your phone drink less juice, e.i; decreases the brightness, disables data when...., decreases the timeout and etc. well this app does those configuration in one go. However if you are planning to be overclocked. Make sure you make profiles on the frequencies whenever you are not using the phone.

If you are a hardcore user like me :). Make sure you have an widget to disable data(since it's the biggest juice drinker) whenever you are not using it. Get "dataswitch" from market.

2x battery works great. I get between 13-18 hours on the stock battery. (I did get 23+ hours once but I forgot my phone at the house so it sat there with zero use)

1+^^^ this app is great also. Forgot to add this. This app disables data when you screen goes off thus giving you 2x of battery life as the apps is called xd. Unfortunately it doesn't work that much for me since i hardly keep my screen off lol.

What can you say iam a hardcore user...:)

The biggest battery hog would be the data flow. What specific tweak is there to control that?

To make it simpler. Just download "2x battery" from market (one good app ). this app disables data whenever the screen is off, and unlike most saver app this app gives you option to disable / enable every settings related to battery . Just open the app and go to related battery option.

Also if you already flashed Gingeresteem then you don't need to make tweaks since its been implemented into the RoM.
