Help Home Button is not working with Home screens

hey Galaxy Users,

here i have a small problem with my Home Button. When i am in one of my home screens, say screen 4 or screen 5 and if i press the home button, It should supposed to go to Homescreen 1. But from past few days, It is not happening. Even if i press the home button, im still in the screen 4 or 5. Is there any Fix for this?? Seriously the phone is amazing but these types of problems really irritating me.
some one kindly suggest me a solution here.

Thanks in advance

If you are in an app do you get returned to one of your home screens when you press the button?
Just trying to establish if it's a fault with the button itself.

What launcher are you using?
Perhaps you have not defined which screen number is your choice of home screen.
May be worth clearing defaults for your launcher app in settings>applications.

Your using the Stock TW Launcher Look it its settings as it sounds that the settings for the last screens need to be adjusted

I am using go launcher so not sure if you can change settings like those for TW launcher. But if there is, try tap on the menu button and see if there are any choice for preferences or something like that. Best I think is to clear data and redo everything again. That usually clears up these type of issues.

Go to settings/manage applications/all/TW launcher and clear data. Remember it will reset to original settings so make a note where everything like widgets and shortcuts is.

Cheers

I have tried doing it. But no use. But for one time, it has returned to it screen1 from screen 5. then again showing the old problem.. If i change to Go launcher, will it help??

hey russell,
Yes i have cleared data in TW launcher. But as i said, immediately after clearing data, for one time it worked fine. But when i tried again, it failed. I dont know what was the prob. if it was with home button, then it shud not work completely. but it is functioning properly when coming out of an app or other thing. just wth home scree case, it is showing some problem.

Actually if you are using the stock launcher (TouchWiz) then going to screen 4 or 5 is in fact what it does by default IF you are already in TW. If you are anywhere else eg. the app draw or an application, the home button goes back to the last home screen you were on prior. Then if you press it again it goes to page 4.

It never goes to page 1 by default you have to drag it there?
