Help galaxy w problem

Hi, im new here.

I just bought new galaxy w, at first it was ok but after few days my application does not running properly and keep telling me to,'force close' and etc.

Could someone help me.

Thanks.

Welcome to Android Forums, makhluktuhan.

It's possible that you've got one 3rd party app (downloaded from Android Market, perhaps??) which is supported by a background "service" which may be interfering with other apps or widgets, syncing apps/widgets in particular are vulnerable.

This is why rebooting the device often temporarily fixes the issue, but it'll likely return as the service cycles and restarts.

To troubleshoot, begin by going into all syncing apps and widgets such as Gmail, Facebook, weather, news, etc and configure them to sync on demand manually rather than autosync.

If doing that fixes the issue, go one by one and reinstate autosyncing and use the device for a while, adding each app or widget until the problem shows up again.. then you've identified the rogue app or widget and you can either leave it at manual syncing or just disable it and try another version of that app from Market.

It can be time consuming, but worth it in the long run. ;)

is this likely to be the same with my gfs phone? we have told it not to sync at all (all apps that have asked which are fb and gmail) or have you any other ideas? thanks for the help :)

This is more than an app issue my wife is on second phone fresh no apps and it is doing it. I reset phone and tested it and it appears to be when the android market updates. You can't appear to stop it meaning the phone is currently broke. Not specifically Samsung fault but they are selling a faulty phone currently. must be a work around however its pretty poor.

I had a similar issue when I was using the phone the first few weeks. The phone - always when inactive - suddenly played the restart melody and briefly rebooted, though not as a complete reboot, many times every day.

I tried various solutions and one finally worked. The Accuweather widget was on the desktop. Removing this widget solved the problem! It must have adversely interacted with something else or the system itself.

I haven't had the issue once in the months since removing the Accuweather widget from the desktop.
