This may very well be my computer. I have recently installed XP Pro SP3 and am having a hard time having the computer read the G1 at all. Before when I had XP Home Edition, it would read it and come up as a removable disk AND the phone would say USB Connected Mount or whatever. Now, the only thing my phone does is charge and my computer nor my phone will recognize the fact that I plugged in the USB. I checked device manager and the only thing missing is my RAID Controller. Idk if that's the problem. Looking for some helpful replies. Thanks ahead of time.

If you have and yellow alerts ! in your device manager delete them Make sure you are not connected ... reboot the computer ... recheck you device manager to make sure they are clear ... the reconnect any other USB device (not the phone) and make sure that is works first ...

Turn your phone off ... remove the battery for a minute or two ... the reinstall ...

Then, try the phone .. if that fails ... you may have a bad data cable ... try to connect the phone on another computer ...

This should help you find the problem
