Is the EVO View worth buying?

I've currently got a 7" Galaxy Tab that I'm very happy with. I'm considering selling it because it's pretty dated (even though I'm very happy with it) and getting an EVO View. I confess I'm an HTC fanboy. Is it worth upgrading over a 7" Galaxy Tab? Or should I just stick with the Tab since I'm happy with it.

I'm not sure how the specs compare to the Galaxy Tab 7" thus I can't say for certain, but if you don't have a tablet then the Evo 4G is worth considering given it's price of <$240. If you have siblings or parents that don't mind your hand-me-downs then that may be the way to go. Worse case scenario, I saw new Evo 4Gs going for about $250 on Ebay so if you buy this one and don't like it, you'll almost recoup all your money by selling it on Ebay, and if you advertise that it's updated with Honeycomb, that should help retain its purchase price value.

I've got a tablet. I've got two actually. I have the OG 7" Tab and the 10.1 Tab. I love them both and use them for different things. The 7" Tab is kind of long in the tooth even though it currently does everything I want/need it to do. That's the only reason I'm thinking of upgrading.

Well this tablet is being phased out so I'm not sure if you're better off waiting for the next offerings to hit the floor to see if they at least drive the price of this down or if the newest tablets will be a better upgrade for you. Since you already have a couple of tablets, I'd say wait until the beginning of the 2nd quarter of 2012.

Honeycomb in and of itself is reason enough to upgrade from your og tab. More tablet compatible apps are available and honeycomb on the evo view really flies. Almost no lag whatsoever. Much better than other honeycomb devices. But it is true that it's on its last legs and will probably be replaced soon. If there was some sort of guarantee, which there isn't, that the evo view would get ice cream sandwich, then I would say jump on the evo view's low prices. But since there is no such guarantee,I would recommend waiting for newer, cheaper tablets such as the upcoming asus 7 inch tegra 3 based device that will launch at $250 with ice cream sandwich.

I had an older EVO 4G and currently own a EVO 3d and just bought just bought the tablet (upgraded to Android 3.2) version and I think over all I am happy with my android and EVO/HTC smartphones.

One thing I noticed about the new tablet is the screen has a funny grid and dot like pattern on the screen when looking at it from and angle. If you look at the screen strait a head like you would normally look at it you can see the lines and dots. I paid 300 bucks for mine and only took 2 days for shipping, so overall I am happy with the EVO 4G View Tablet.
