I know, don't use that many exclamation points in the title - it won't make more people read it. HOWEVER, I found a new keyboard (not yet released) so it is in beta form....and I love it. AND, since I don't visit this forum every single day, I may have missed someone else raving about it.

It's called Swype. Not available in Market, but you can find it online and put it in your SD card, then install it from there. Run through the tutorial and you will be sold!

You MUST be part of the Swype pre-marketing campaign team or something.

I was thinking the same thing. They are probably getting all of there employees to go and sign up for every android forum out there to spread the word. I like swype a lot but sometimes it gets annoying when it gets confused and suggests a word that is no where close to what I want. Thank god for the physical keyboard.

Sorry, PsychoKitty - Not sure why it says I've only posted once because I've posted several times before. For one, I posted about dropped calls and that I discovered it was a "skin" I put on my phone to 'make it pretty'. Remove the skin, no more dropped calls.

Obviously I was pretty hyped about finding SWYPE. Nope, I'm not part of any pre-marketing campaign. Even my husband who HATES texting, found the keyboard much easier to use.

Yep, I messed up by not doing a "search" within Android Forums. I was just so darn excited.

And lastly, regarding the words Swype doesn't recognize, as well as single characters, that is a PITB. Maybe once launched officially the developers will have found a solution.

Actually, it is a smart system, in that it tracks what you type and learns from it. It now automatically recognizes my name when I swype it, but it had to learn out on every new cleanly installed ROM...
